The tacos are excellent, try the al pastor. Nice place, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. For good Mexican in the Gainesville area, I highly recommend it.
I am from out of town not what I was expecting. It is like you are in Mexico. No waitress, food is served on disposable plates. Order at counter. They sell deorderant, shampoo. Just a little weird to me.
Food was good.
Delicious and authentic for an amazing price. It took longer to get my food than I expected, but it was absolutely worth the wait.
Delicious food and good service. One of my favorite restaurants in Gainesville. They have a really big menu with a lot of choices and the store in the back is fun to check out.
Chimichangas here are great, and always taste home-made. Even the goat is delicious! Everything is cheap enough for a college student's budget, and this place is always busy.
I love this place but it seems like we are losing the old delicious tastes that they used to have.
Please (owner of this place) to make cheaper your expenses do not change your fresh veggie and steak choices 😞
My friends and I love this place and have for a while - and they now have horchata! Clean, reasonably priced, great food. Tvs always showing soccer. Parking is annoying at lunch time but eventually you'll find a spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. Wait in line, order, pay, sit, they bring your food out - all very efficient. Good atmosphere.
Food is excellent, we order frequently to go and not once have they let us down. The tacos are great, the nachos are huge, everything has flavor and just feels homemade. They have delicious horchata and their desserts are amazing. Definitely in my top choices in Gainesville when it comes to Mexican food.
I've been to this place before, when I was a freshman, sophomore, and junior here at UF. Haven't been to this place in a few months, because I just got busy with school. However I am very disappointed. It does not taste like back home anymore. The produce like the vegetables sauce that are made are great and fresh. The thing that made this place stand out was the way they cooked the meat and their fresh tortillas. The meat is now dried out and has a heavy iron taste, it looks like they switched the thin skirt steak for a thick cut of chuck and it was dry and tasteless. And the worst part was the tortilla, a Mexican can taste packaged tortillas in an instant, they fell apart and had that funky taste to them. I hope they get back to what they used to be. My and my GF came here and ordered 6 tacos each and a drink each it came out to about 40 bucks and that was even more ridiculous. I was very upset for the amount of money I paid. I wish them the best, this used to be my favorite place.
My wife and I always get the fish tacos. That dish seems to have dipped in quality lately, otherwise I'd say 5 stars. Great quest!
Not the best I've had, But pretty darn good! My daughter loves it. Would eat there 7 days a week if she could!
The food is incredible, but whenever we go nowadays it's always packed. Maybe it's just coincidence? The last three times we've gone, we ended up leaving without food because the wait time was to get our food was so long (40min, most recently). In any case, order the chimichunga- it's fantastic.
Great authentic food and a great price. The pastor tacos are delicious and taste right (my favorite tacos when I'm in Mexico). They have beer available and a huge menu. They can get busy, for good reason, so just plan ahead.
This is the best Mexican restaurant north of Mexico. Good value, great food, super atmosphere. I've lived in Mexico for years and this place is the best, bar none
