Love this hotel. It's not the fanciest place but it's clean and the front desk people are helpful and nice and they don't ask for any deposit as Long as you paid for the room with a credit or debit card! And that's rare lately every hotel wants to hold around 100 extra on my card for incidentals. But not them! Love them!

We were highly disappointed in our experience at the La Quinta. We stayed there 3 days. On the fourth day, we experienced conflict with the staff. They were highly rude, and just down right unprofessional. We do not recommend this establishment and strongly encourage you to not stay there in the future.

I would give this place five stars for the gal who worked in concierge because she was helpful and kind! She deserves a raise, or more than that, a different job lol! This place is definitely a dive! The place looked pretty sketchy to begin with and it's next to a Hooters. The rooms had an odd smell, and I wasn't sure exactly if it was just an old musty smell, or if someone had been smoking previously in this non-smoking room. After checking around the room, and lifting the corners of the bed sheets to check the mattress, which looked old and had some questionable stains on it, I checked out without ever staying there! Yuck! The only reason I'm giving this two stars instead of 0 or 1/2 of a star was because of the gal in concierge who was very accommodating and professional!

Room was good except long black hair over clean towel. Night front desk agent didn't inform me of breakfast hours, so we showed up at 915 and they had already put it away. Was able to snag a muffin and bagels and some coffee.

Previously booked our room to reserve a spot, still took us 15 mins to check in. Got up to our room and we're called back within 10 minutes to sign another paper the receptionist forgot about. During our one night stay we saw 3 police officers in bulletproof vests coming out of rooms and walking around the building. The only reason I'll give it 2 stars is because Hooters is right next to it and their wings were convenient and delicious!!

First thing, after our long flight we arrive and prepare to check in and there is no one at the desk, it takes 15 minutes to locate a person to check us in. That's infuriating. For the price it's okay, although the carpets badly need to be cleaned. The pool was dirty the first day, but they finally cleaned it, and they finally cleaned the breakfast floor but it was very dirty for quite some time. Overall they were too slow about cleaning everything, and the quality of cleaning was not so good. I suppose this is what you get for the price, and it's okay if you're just using this place because of its proximity to the beach. It's still no excuse, the age and condition of the property should be no excuse for uncleanliness. The pictures look much better than the place really is. But the bathroom was clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

The outside of the building was dirty. The elevator was dirty. Our room smelled like smoke. I would give it five stars if it were based only on the staff. I was super late for breakfast. My husband took the truck. The only restaurant within walking distance was Hooters. I told one of the staff my situation in conversation..she immediately offered to give me some fruit and waterand even a bagel She was so kind. Despite the great staffwe will not stay at this location again.

Only thing nice about this room is the comfortable bed. There are cigarette burn all over the bathtubs there isn't a microwave or fridge in the room. For 115 a night you should have more updated rooms. I was highly disappointed in the breakfast they only had two waffle makers, cearal and muffins. And they ran out of syrup by 9 on a Saturday. Really think there should be more of an option for breakfast like eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy.

I also rebooked online because I need the extra nights and online it said i did not need a prepayment and when I arrived the girl at the front desk argued with me about this even when I should her on my phone that when I booked it online that's what it told me. The manager wasn't there either so i had to wait over an hour to speak with management.

Very nice location right off the freeway and only a few minutes away from the airport. Room was clean and well stocked. Room was comfy and quiet even with my room facing the freeway.

I came to Santa Ana with a reservation at another hotel, when I got there they said they couldn't serve me because I'm 18. I came here and they allow 18 yr. Olds to reserve a room and right away I got a beautiful room. The staff is very friendly and nice. The room is very clean and neat. I loved my stay there! I will definitely come back next time I come to Santa Ana and if you're reading this, you should too!

Rooms smelled like mold. The bagels were moldy and the breakfast area was to small with that many rooms. I specifically requested joining rooms, i called 3 days in advance to confirm and once we arived i wasn't given the requested rooms. We will never return to that place. The rooms are outdated. The whole building is. Oh and i was told we would have queen size beds and ended up in full size beds.

Awesome location. Normal funky hotel room smell, but other than that it's relatively clean. Pretty basic and filling breakfast. Near tons of restaurants and shops. Highway accessible. Has a simple gym and pool.
