Kona Kai is beautifully located right on the bay. Their rooms are clean, staff friendly, and pool area welcoming. We enjoyed late nights on the beach with their natural has bonfires. Will come again!

Great place for dinner, I️ has the clam chowder a salad and scallops. It was so good, I️ love the bread and how the pre sprinkled with salt.

Location is great and resort looks good too. However, there were bugs coming out of bathroom and construction crew was loud early in the morning. View from the room was great looking at the marina. Hotel crew was friendly. Did not try the food on the resort so can't say much about it. Service fees and parking fees are too much(~$50 total/day) and self-parking was not allowed during the stay so ended up paying for valet. Overall, an average experience.

Nice room, but the hotel was under construction and our bay view had no view. They did give us a generous credit, but I would have rather paid for a lower priced room. Checking in was a bit of a mess for some people (took a lot of time and room keys didn't work), but it wasn't an issue for us other than a 10+ minute wait.

Great place for weddings. Good South West food. Great service. State of the art quality gym. Good water sports and attractive harbor yacht views.

This hotel is on the pricey side even for the area. I booked it anyways because thinking it would be nicer. It's not nicer, and they will increase the cost somehow. We avoided the horrendously overpriced parking only to be charged a resort fee. So FYI that is completely unavoidable since we didn't even use the facilities. Just be honest and increase the price. I may have even booked anyways. However, now the entire stay has been cheapened.

Kona Kai is amazing! Theres an outdoor pool next to the ocean, and lots of fun games in the lobby. The rooms are also pretty nice too. The showers have really good soap. Better than the ones you would see at a Motel 6.

Live the quaint resort. Had to get use to no signs to tell you where ice machine isyesits a big deal and I did ask. I wouldn't have found it otherwise. They want this place to stay quaint and not have that hotel feel. I don't blame themgreat place to stay. The walk around the resort is awesome.

from the time we checked in to when we check out our experience was great. From the valet to the front desk including the outdoor bar and restaurant the people working there were friendly and did everything possible to make our stay wonderful. We brought our dog, and the staff were just as friendly to our pet. The room was great. Honestly had no complaints about Kona Kai. We are looking forward on going back. Barb Bailey and Kathy Oconnell

Other than having to wait eight hours to check into our room, the resort itself was pretty nice. It is under construction right now, but the harbor view from the room is beautiful. The walk along the beach at night is great with the fire pits. The staff is incredibly helpful for the most part.

My Wife and I took our two young children with us to have Easter Brunch. This is the second time we have gone here for Easter Brunch and this place does not disappoint. The buffet is awesome, and the service is exceptional. They even do Easter egg hunts for the kids, and the Easter Bunny is walking around the whole time. The views and atmosphere are great, and we will definitely be going back.

Wonderful ambiance for brunch. Has great views of the Point Loma hills. The live music was amazing. We had fish tacos and bottomless Bloody Marys. We will be back soon.

Beautiful marina view at this quiet resort located just 10 minutes from the San Diego airport. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend staying here with it's newly remodeled rooms and new additions. You'll be right on the marina with back door entry to your boat. You get a local neighborhood feel at this peaceful resort with bay and marina views on Shelter Island.

We enjoyed our time here. The pictures on website of room are exactly what you get. Really nicely decorated. Bathroom very modern. Bar was well stocked. Spa was awesome. We had the couple treatment and it was luxurious.
