One of the fanciest Best Westerns I have stayed at. Nice (free) breakfast buffet option with cereals, pastries, pancakes/waffles and drinks. The hotel was reasonably quiet and the staff was helpful. We would stay here again.

Excellent service as always from best western. Good sized rooms. Cheaper parking compared to the rest. Clean soft beds and a very friendly staff. The breakfast was free and had all the necessities. Will recommend this establishment everytime.

This is an affordable hotel in a great location. It was so easy to just walk down to the bay. For dinner, Little Italy is a quick walk down India Street.
If you need to go anywhere else, just have the front desk call you a cab. There is also the trolley. The Santa Fe station is only 5 minutes away.response / report this review -

The hotel is located in a very central location and I would stay there again. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the hotel was clean and very appropriate. The room was very clean (had frig and mircowave) and the bed was very comfortable. I really liked being so close to Little Italy and walked a couple of easy blocks for dinner. There were also several bars very close as well as a deli/market and a Rite Aid was a block away. I walked over to the pier, which is about 3 blocks away and enjoyed the bay view. I took the free shuttle back to the airport and the driver was very helpful.

From the time we were picked up at the airport by Fred to the end of our stay, this hotel staff made us feel like a King and Queen in our castle overlooking the bay. Every morning we were cheerfully served by Isabelle and Eduardo in the restaurant with a stellar complimentary buffet breakfast that offered lots of quality food with variety. Thank you! Our rooms were cleaned in a flexible timely manner, and the friendly front desk staff helped us every time we called or came by to inquire. The pool was fresh and inviting and the room service was amazing at no extra charge. What a great week in San Diego at the Bayside :)response / report this review -

Perfect place for stay. The location is close enough to downtown. Convenient to get a MTS transit to Old town, or Gaslamp district. The breakfast is great, and service is courteous and friendly. Rooms are nice and cozy, and have a great view of the marina. The staff is friendly, and airport shuttle service is a plus.

Stayed at the best western plus Bayside for 2 nights while visiting San Diego. Location is excellent, perfect for the gaslamp district, little Italy and the harbour front Staff were very friendly and helpful. They stored our luggage and arranged a shuttle to the airport (complimentary service of the hotel.) Breakfast being included was also a nice bonus, it's good to fill you up before setting out on a days exploring. A selection of cereals, yoghurt and pastries. Also available was a selection of hot dishes for example scrambled egg and pancakes. The rooms were nice, nothing to flash but comfortable and clean. There was a TV, fridge and coffee maker. Plus other standard features such as hairdryer, iron, shampoo and soap products. The hotel had a quite modern feel to it and it looked like some of the floors were getting renovated when we stayed. There is a pool and fitness suite which we didn't use however they did look like good facilities. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Recently remodeled and looks good from a distance. Clean, and decent free breakfast at adjacent cafe. Windows don't seal so all city noises come in 24/7. Low water pressure on upper floors, shower heads have been modified for people less than 5' tall. Staff was nice and with some work, this could be an outstanding property.

The hotel was nice enough and the breakfast was good but about the same items each morning. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We did however have problem at check in and check out. The air conditioner didn't work so we had to change rooms after unpacking. The room attendant didn't put new towels in the bath on 3 days. Our room key expired after 2 days of a 5 day stay.

I chose a really good hotel for my first visit to San Diego, on the edge of Little Italy where there is an excellent choice of restaurants, near Downtown and the Gas Lamp district and a ten minute walk to no less than four theatres. Also near the harbour, and Santa Fe station which was ideal for my train journey to Los Angeles.
Hotel staff were very friendly and I had an excellent room, if I'd had more time there I could have made use of the pool!response / report this review -

We were very pleased with our stay at this Best Western.the front desk personnel as well as the staff behind the scenes when we made our original bookinggoing directly to the Hotel.were exceptional..Pricing was very reasonable. The shuttle service was a great perk .from the airport to Hotel and also to the Pier on the day of Embarkation. The very fast complimentary Internet was another bonus the complimentary breakfast was excellentand the location was second to none as it was close to India St and all of the wonderful Pubs and restaurants as well as a couple of blocks from the main Embarcadero along the water front. Would certainly recommend to my friends as well as return for another stay if the situation arises.

Hotel itself was conveniently located near every location we wanted to visit while on our vacation. Staff at check in were very friendly in resolving any issues I had prior to checking in. As an employee of best western myself, It is to my belief most, if not all, of the standards were kept at a BW Plus. Breakfast buffet was fortunately included with our stay every morning. Nothing too special, but it did get us on our feet and ready to go for the day. Rooms were cleaned appropriately. Did like that they had an option to have sheets replaced or not by leaving a card on the bed before leaving the room. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in having a taste of San Diego.

The Bayside Inn was our choice the night before our cruise. We drove in from Phoenix, had parking reservations for the time we were on the cruise, and enjoyed a restful night before the cruise the next day. Staff was very helpful about where in the parking garage we should park. We felt that it would be watched during our cruise, and this was the case. The parking fee was included in our room expenses, which was much better than trying to find other parking for 7 days. Beds were excellent, room was very clean and welcoming. This is why we are Best Western Rewards members.
