Very similar to a benihana 's restaurant , except they do not serve salad . And the spicy mustard sauce is yummmy !
Good food, fast paced & great service! Chefs were entertaining, pleasent, & efficient. Enjoyed our evening & added to our BIRTHDAY celebrations.😉
Very active and nice place. Staffs are overall kind and nice. Recommend beef. Seafood was ok but prefer beef.
This place smells really good from the outside. It's too bad once you get inside the food doesn't taste as good as it smells. Giving this place 2 stars for the decor. The place looks nice. Drinks were poorly mixed.
Shame, I had high hopes for this place.
This is one of the most inspiring of environmental designs in this area, imho. The coy pond , bridge, pagoda and lush greenery really lend one to feel a sense of crossing over into this distant land with alluring ambiance.
As for the food, well, it is a combination of that, and the entertainment by the chefs at one's table, that really make this place worth a visit. We went for the early bird specials and if you do it that way, you can save a lot but the menu is a bit more limited. They have several main dishes that come with miso soup, rice, vegetables, special sauces, and green tea ice cream ( I think there was another flavor; maybe it was sherbert).
I included one photo of the Onion Volcano as our chef was making it.
I do not eat meat so can not comment on any of those dishes 1sthand , but everyone in the party who had the steak said it was very good. I enjoyed the tofu & veggies, they are large portions so plenty to take home!
But the Miso soup, and the Green Tea Ice cream, were my favorites.
Excelent service, very good food. Nice friendly latin chefs. Old place but nice.
Amazing service great Japanese food and great sushi. If you love teppanyaki style cooking and a show this is the place. Great for groups of up to 10
I have been a regular client of Kobe's for 30 years. The food has always been amazing! The early bird is great for those of us who eat here weekly. While I no longer live in the valley, when I did I had a standing reservation for 5:30 Thursday night. Don't forget to get ginger sauce on your rice!
Great service, polite staff, entertaining chefs, great food. The ginger sauce was delicious and the sushi service was fast and made the short wait for the hibachi a blast.
We capped off a 5 day vacation with a dinner at Kobe and were NOT disappointed. Stellar service and amazing food! We had an odd table that didnt talk but it didnt take away from the amazing food. Portions were ridiculous - I had the filet and my wife had the chicken. Highly recommend!!!!!
Just wow! I was told by my resort concierge that kobe was no good for a marriage proposal celebration dinner. We went anyways and we were all very satisfied. The service was beyond anything ive seen. They replace drinks if they see your drink's ice has melted too much. Which, maybe is overkill but you go to any other restaurant and i always have to stop the nearby server for refills. Im ALWAYS sitting with an empty cup because i always chug my drinks, but not at this place. They replaced my drink for me 3 times in 10 minutes. The chef was also a great show. He had some good material. Definitely had a passion and genuine enjoyment to keep his guests entertained. Added to my maps as a 🌟 favorite
It's what you expect. The freshest food cooked in front of you. The chefs with corny jokes, great atmosphereits my wife's favorite place for special occaisions.
The chef was great, the food was above average and the service was subpar. We had 2 birthdays at our table and while they sang Happy Birthday to the other tables in the restaurant we were ignored. The waitress was not very attentive, we had to wait awhile for our initial drink order and then sat with empty glasses for a good 15 minutes before I got up to go order my drinks. Jose was the best part of our experience here, funny and talented, great egg dance. The spicy mustard sauce here beats Benihana hands down, but the rest of the food falls a little short. Cheaper cuts of steak were a bit grainy and so thin that they overcooked easily after being taken off the grill. Certainly still good, but not as good as other Japanese steak houses I've been to. Overall it was a good night, but for a 300 dollar dinner I think I will stick to some of my other options for the next special occasion.
If you are lucky enough to get Mark you will get an amazing teppanyaki experience. Skilled in every regard.
