I'm a little ashamed that I ordered the filet mignon at this fantastic seafood restaurant! But it was so very delicious. My son had lobster rolls for the first time and he is hooked! It's pricey but well worth it.

The food and service was actually really good. If they had the same menu on both floors I think it'd be five stars. I'm vegetarian and there's just not a lot to order downstairs. The salad, cocktail, and dessert were great tho. I'd come back again. The meat eaters at my table liked their food.

Stop by for some late lunch and glad we did. Prices are more on the expensive side, but for this area that's not surprising. The lobster was absolutely incredible, as well as the calamari. Great flavors that left you wanting more.

Amazing food. Their fillet was perfect, and sushi fantastic. Often at restaurants times the "wood-grilled" fillet has a burnt charred flavor, but not here. Would definitely come back.

Amazing food and drinks! Can't say enough about this place. Would recommend to anyone I know. Thanks for a great evening and food. Best old fashioned I have had.

Great views but food was not worth the price. Husband liked the scallops and son liked the fish and chips but Cobb salad was so so. Pretty pricey but great views.

Go to the happy hour! 1/2 price on the freshest sushi around. So fresh it tastes like they plucked it right out of the harbor. But, you know, minus the pollution and all.

Sat upstairs for the 50% off happy hour, plenty of great choices. Absolutely loved the Kung pao tofu bowl. Husband had the seafood stew and loved that it was nice and meaty.
No reservations required to sit upstairs and you get to order off both the upstairs and downstairs menu. Downstairs is more of a fine dine experience.

Enjoyed brunch at the Cannery. Ordered the Eggs Benedict without the bacon on it and the bottomless mimosas. My food was delicious and all the other entrees at our table looked amazing. Bottomless mimosas are a great deal at $15! The location was beautiful, the restaurant itself was beautiful. I wish there had been more vegetarian options.

Celebrated my birthday on the patio. Great food , nice staff. It's pricey, but a very nice place for an expensive dinner. Patio heaters provided. Service was top notch. View of water was peaceful.

We came for Happy Hour which we have actually heard is terrific. After waiting on rather at some point without any luck of discovering a seat, we decided to dine downstairs in the primary dining establishment.

I hardly ever provide unfavorable evaluations, nevertheless whatever was underwhelming here. The service was bad. Definitely substandard for a great dining restaurant. We sat with empty water glasses on a number of celebrations & were made to seem like a concern rather than paying clients.

The menu was restricted & overpriced. We purchased the lobster pasta, which at $42, I would anticipate to be prepared completely. While, there was a great deal of lobster, it was very rubbery & neglected. The pasta, itself, likewise tasted rubbery.

Remarkably, the very best thing we had was the hamburger go figure. The hamburger was scrumptious, juicy & decadent.

We might return for delighted hour, however when it comes to the dining establishment itself, conserve your cash it's unworthy it.:/.

The Cannery in Newport Beach is a very nice restaurant. We have been there for various occasions, Thanksgiving dinners, mothers' day, as well as a casual happy hour on Sunday and just to dine by the water. The chef is very meticulous and pairing items for the major holidays as well as great a mean lobster roll sushi, he works on taste and presentation. Delicious food by the water in a great setting where you enjoy the boats going by as well as people watching. And if one is on a boat and get hungry no problem, just pull the boat up to the Cannery dock and enjoy a great meal and friendly staff anytime.
