Stay here!!! It's clean and friendly and convenient! Family owned, there were happy to answer all of our questions about where to go and what to do. We struggled to find an affordable hotel convenient to the Riverwalk and Alamo. There was an event going on so all hotels we crazy overpriced and most affordable ones had terrible reviews and looked scary. This one had good reviews, was only a ten minute walk from the Riverwalk and was actually affordable so we have it a shot. We were a little concerned about the area because it looks very run down, but the owner told us he doesn't have issues walking through there with his kids so we did it. Walked back to the room after a concert, so close to midnight and had no concerns. Small praying lot so you may have to Park across the street but it's all free parking. Near convention center and Tower of Americas as well. Basic breakfast (toast and bagels) but it was good and free. Comfortable beds, clean room, and really great old wood furniture and decorations. We'd stay here again without a doubt.
It takes a lot for me to actually write a bad review but honestly this experience was so upsetting, the front desk employees were so unhelpful and rude towards me . The first morning of the stay they turned off all the water so we didn’t have water to shower with that morning we waited till 3pm on our way out and talked to them again they were still working on the problem . We asked for some sort of reduction in price since we paid for a room WITH running water. They said they’d speak to the manager but when i asked again they said the manager was on vacation and wouldn’t bother asking . The man at the front desk said it wasn’t his fault or problem that we didn’t have water and refused to help us even though he specified that he could if he wanted to but didn’t see how it was their fault so chose not to help, Basically putting it on us.
Breakfast Is good there. Helpful staff and they call before the reservation to confirm if you're coming. You can, however, hear other rooms but not through the walls as other reviews exaggerate. The sound is heard through the doors. A suggestion to others, use the closet door and you'll likely mute your room better. Excellent toilets! Walking distance to Alamodome. Parking is tad tight.
Location is good, close to downtown. Clean rooms and comfy beds. No complaints whatsoever, great for the price. Wouldn't recommend walking in the area at night, but during the day is fine. I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area.
I stayed on Friday night through Sunday morning. My only major issue, was the parking. Thankfully the motel offered parking across the street. I rated this place 5 stars, because both rooms I rented were very clean. The staff were very nice. I recommend this motel to anyone who is on a budget and needs a nice, clean and cozy place to stay. I definitely will be back!
The place is ok for ONE night. When we checked in, nobody was at from, we waited for about 15 minutes until a guy showed up, he wasn’t much friendly. The room was ok, everything cozy and comfortable. One big issue they have is the parking. If you are back to the hotel late, you have to park across the street where there are not many spots, it’skins of unsafe to cross the street in the middle of the night because the only people you see there at night are homeless, also I didn’t feel safe leaving my car there.
Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. I am so happy to have stayed here. Friendly Manager and clean rooms. I felt great sleeping here, and you will too !
The manager is extremely rude. They charged my credit card without my authorization. I have never been or stayed at this motel and the "manager" (someone that barely speaks English) began to scream like a lunatic over the phone and asked me how he could charge my credit credit card if I wasn't there. That was exactly the question I had for him. Do yourself a big favor and don't come close to these rude, uneducated "managers". I will file for FRAUD with my credit card company.
This is a nice hide away. Staff is extremely friendly and I love to do stay-cations here
*DisclaimerIf you have an extra $100 to throw away (on top of your room charges), please stay here!
I wish I could rate my experience with no stars. Please do NOT stay at this hotel! The manager is extremely rude and does not care about customer service. After I arrived to check into my room, the desk clerk notified me of a $100 Incidental Fee to be charged to my account. I was not told this beforehand although I already paid for the room. I paid the fee and the clerk said the charge would be returned to my card after I checked out (no problem there as this is typical). I checked out almost a week ago and did NOT see the charge returned to my account. I called the manager and he explained I had to physically be there to hand him the card so he could run it through the machine to refund the fee. Of course this isn't going to work as I am no longer in Texas. He claimed he told me this when I checked in. He mentioned I could email him a copy of my credit card and my ID (YES! EMAIL A COPY OF MY CREDIT CARD AND ID) so that he could run them through to refund my account. Of course (at this point), it became an issue of his word against mine. Then, the manager proceeded to over talk me to explain the refund process (after the fact). Of course, I was quite offended. Before continuing any further, I mentioned I would NEVER stay there again and I would rate my experience accordingly. He replied in a tone which suggested he did not care and I was at a lost.
Great place to stay in downtown San Antonio. Went there for spring break and we're 3 blocks from the Alamo. Everything was brand new. It was probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. Parking was a little tightbut it WAS spring break!! Will stay there again for sure!!
I think the price was perfect for its use during our trip, just sleep and cleaning up. The staff were really nice, the bathroom slightly outdated but it's clean and served it's use. Small parking space and doors to stair is loud, but we were out and about most of the time that it wasn't a bother at all. Would try to get this place again and recommend
