Boutique hotel in Chicago's theater district. Well appointed albeit smallish rooms. Definitely a somewhat glamorous retro vibe. Nice meeting and conference spaces and services. All gender rest room in common or public areas. Free coffee and tea in the mornings and a wine reception in the late afternoon. Many amenities done tastefully. Very helpful staff.

Fabulous service with genuine hospitality. Great location near the "L", shopping, and coffee shops. Good restaurants within reasonable walking distance or short drive. Bathroom was on the small side but we made do. I'd return, especially since we found a great rate

Rooms are nice but bathroom is small. Definitely only one person getting ready at the same time. Beautiful lobby and stylish room. Free happy hour drinks. Great staff. Good location.

We were greeted by very friendly doormen and lobby staff. They got us checked in very quickly and gave us details on lobby drinks, snacks, and bar hours. The room was clean and tidy, albeit a little smaller than most chain hotel rooms. The bed was very comfortable, the TV nice and big, and the bathroom was very modern and nice. Water pressure in the shower was probably the best I've ever had in a hotel. We loved the 12:00 check out time. This allowed us plenty of time to load up in the morning. My only knock on the hotel is that you can hear things outside the room quite easily. For example, we could hear the shower running in the room above us. We could also faintly hear the people talking next door. Overall, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is wonderful - close to restaurants, coffee, shops, and within walking distance of Grant Park.

Went to a wedding reception. Food was excellent. Appetizers could have been seasoned a bit better. Bartending staff could have been better trained (long Island was a vodka and cranberry). But It was a wedding, everyone was happy, hard to complain.

It's got a very old time feel with a very new age look. The staff was nice. It was wedding season; so it was busy. The sleep, oh my god the sleep was amazing. Our room was pitch black. The bed was amazing, they provided a robe for the bathroom. It was great. We plan on being back for my birthday in 2 weeks.

I stayed at the Allegro for my brother's wedding at a nearby facility. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful/resourceful. I arrived there a little after 1 and was concerned about an early check in because check-in is at 3 p.m. When I went to the front desk and gave them my name for the reservation, I was given a hotel key immediately. The room was very clean and nice. I really loved the decor. Checkout was quick and painless as well. The staff is very efficient and I tip my hat to management. I would definitely recommend their hotel. I will definitely stay here the next time I am in Chicago.

Staying at Hotel Allegro was lovely. Rooms were nice and the location in the downtown area meant everything was on walking distance. Pillows and beds were soft. But walls were thin enough to here someone blow there nose in the nearby room. If you here to see the city, Hotel Allegro is a good place to stay.

I stayed here with my husband and our 8 month old for my graduation. This is the perfect location to be in the middle of it all in downtown Chicago, for business or fun: near public transit, in the theater district and the loop, and a few blocks from shopping, not to mention great food. And the hotel itself has so much to offer, the best being a daily happy hour from 5-6. On a Friday night, there was a huge crowd in the lobby, but we only waited a few minutes for a couple comfy seats to open up. The staff are eager to help, very friendly and personable. I'd come back here in a heartbeat on future visits!

if you're into art deco/gatsby, then this is the place to stay in Chicago. Location is terrific. We were able to walk just about everywhere that we wanted to go. Service is great, if you're a rewards member, they always leave a note for you in your room. Love the staff. Small rooms, but that's pretty common.

The Allegro was a great place to spend the weekend in Chicago. It's located in the middle of many theaters and within reasonable walking distance to the magnificent Mile. The facilities are clean and elegant. The rooms have comfortable beds with dark curtains, great for sleeping. I would return to this hotel.

I really love the art deco style and I've had a really pleasant stay. Bathroom in my room is tight quarters. The bedding could be a little more cush, but it's fine, I just turned up the heat. Staff has been really responsive. Convenient location. Would definitely stay here again.
