Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast and coffee available with stay. Good location, near many interesting sites and restaurants within walking distance.

Dingy, dirty, cramped. Dirty room, window leaked entire weekend(not raining, it was condensation). Super expensive and not super nice! The only reason we stayed was because supposedly it was connected with access to theatre. Well it IS. But it was roped off, had to go outside and wait in line anyway. Or cut in front of everyone else already in line to get into theatre. Very bad set up, rude desk clerk and concierge

I took a trip to Chicago for a few days to take in some sight seeing. I have been to Chicago several times and have always stayed in major brand hotels and have never received the treatment that I received at the Hampton Inn Majestic Theater. Make sure you are actively looking for this hotel, because it is a small door within a large theater. The hotel loby is very inviting and clean. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Upon checking in they provided me a water and a list of nearby restaurants that they recommend. I went to 4 of those restaurants and all were very good. The lobby also offers cookies in the afternoon and they are delicious (butterscotch chocolate chip). I was surprised at the quality of these cookies being that they are from a hotel and free. I was always able to ask for a bottle of water and they always happily gave me one with a smile. I have been to Chicago twice before once at a similar branded hotel and another at a higher class hotel and both rooms were the size of a closet. This hotel room was very large and very spacious. Which is nice, it was like staying in an airport hotel, but in the heart of the city. The hotel has good access to State Street, so if you need quick shopping it is within minutes, red and blue lines are within a block and most major Chicago attractions are within 5-15 minutes walking (Any sporting event you need to take the subway or cab/Lyft). Where they knock it out of the park is with their maid service, I never saw the maid, but my room was never cleaner and had more attention at any hotel. There was nothing dirty, sheets were in good shape, and the maid always left a note wishing us a nice day. The maid also always made figurines with the towels so we had a place for our toiletries. There were a lot of small touches this hotel had that made me feel special as a customer. The downfalls are minimal, the continental breakfast is like all of them, stick to the cereal, yogurt, and fruit and also this hotel is in the middle of the Chicago, there is no parking lot, if you rent a car be prepared to pay big bucks to have it parked. All in all I would recommend this hotel, especially at this price point. You could spend a lot more and have a smaller room and not have good cookies.

Great location except kind of hard to get parked without getting hit or clipped on the street. Tons of place to eat/see within walking distance. Rooms were great and there was plenty of food at breakfast.

We got here and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly, allowing us an early check in so that we wouldn't have to carry our luggage around with us while waiting. The hotel is very clean, quiet, and the AC works very well at keeping the room incredibly cold. My only complaint, and this is really reaching, is that the windows have some sort of old leftover adhesive or maybe dirt stuck to them which clouds the view of outside.

We stayed here because we were going to Hamilton at the Private Bank Theater and the hotel is right upstairs. Great hotel, clean rooms, nice breakfast buffet. It wouldn't have killed them to have a few more pillows that actually had some substance to them, but I can deal.

I stayed at Hampton Inn overnight for a musical at the PrivateBank Theater the next day. The stay in general was comfortable, and not too bad. I had a few general complaints. I had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up at the desk for check in. I think the person staffing the desk was in the bathroom; they should make sure someone is always at the desk. What if I needed something and it was important? Some other guests that I presume had already checked in were waiting when I arrived, and got fed up and left in the meantime. When I finally got checked in, we found that two of the four card keys we got didn't work. Luckily, our first try was a busted one so we were able to find which ones were OK. The external antenna on the TV on the room was also not functioning, so I had to unplug it and pull out the stand to change channels. I would stay here again if needed. I didn't have any other issues, but I'd say that after a day of traveling and needing some destressing, the compounding annoyances didn't help. Hampton has a higher chance of being better the next time around; this just wasn't the stress-free experience I expected.

Clean rooms, spacious compared to other hotels I've stayed in Chicago. Very friendly staff, and appreciative of your business. Free breakfast and WiFi. Not one complaint.

Fantastic hotel in the Majestic building. You are connected to where "Hamilton" is playing, so there's no need to even go outside.

The staff is fantastic and there is free breakfast. They also have valet parking ($59 per day) with in-out privileges for no extra cost.

It was a comfortable stay. The hotel is located very centrally in downtown and was extremely convenient. The free breakfast was also very good. The only complaint I have would be that waiting for the elevator takes quite a bit of time. Our room was on the 16th floor, however, there wasn't much of a view. It was still a lovely place to stay in the city.

Decent hotel conveniently located in the loop. Easy to miss. Basic amenities. Rooms are small and quiet. Good for hanging your hat at the end of the day.

Beautiful location, nice rooms. No refrigerator or microwave, but that wasn't an issue for us. Quality toiletries, and staff was helpful. Lobby bag check available, and secure/doorman entry. Location is within two blocks of all rail lines, so most parts of the city are less than a half hour away. Twenty minute walk to Millennium Park, about the same to Buckingham Fountain and the lake. All in all, a great value.
