Sales staff is friendly, helpful, not pushy. Don't know if pricing is in line with other dealers. Have not purchased yet.
I inquired about a vehicle at this dealership and told the salesman, AJ that I would be driving in 3 hours (halfway across the state) to purchase. Rather than put it on hold for a few hours as a courtesy, they go and sell it on eBay twenty minutes before I arrived. Very unprofessional staff and your typical used car salesman type of dealership. Didn't even receive an apology from the salesman. I would HIGHLY recommend to take your business elsewhere.
This dealership takes advantage of the elderly that have memory impairment. They call them up and tell them it's time past due to buy a new car and then have them trade A brand new car with than 6000 miles because that's the most they put on it in 12 months and charge them Full price. What assholes. The BBB and Dept of Aging should come down hard on all of you salesman. Hope Karma gets each one of you for taking advantage of the elderly.
Car dealer lied through his teeth about every vehicle. Told my significant other and i that our unwrecked, low mile, and good condition cat was only worth at the most 1,300 and we go out to the back and find the same model that was older, wrecked and rust everywhere for 6,500. Unreal with how much they try to cheat you.
Had an issue with my equnoix, the service department diagnosed they problem and an appointment was setup, with in a week it was fixed. While the car was being checked the technician checked the car for a known problem with this model and that is covered by gm. Very pleased with the service I have received.
I bought a used vehicles from Kightlingers. Didn't even drive it off the lost and was having problems with it. It sat in my driveway for 2 days and it wouldn't start. So Chad on his own time came out and all it needed was a new battery. He brought it out, installed it at no charge to me. Later on the car kept over heating. We took it to the shop twice, Mike looked at it, bled the air out for us. Didn't charge us for those 2 visits either. Then when we would drive and hit a bump 13 different codes would go off. Took it back over to Kightlingers and left it for a couple days. The figured out that the wire harness was hitting the sway bar. Again didn't charge me because we had problems from the get go. With all the problems we had, its nice to know that Kightlingers is there for us. They treated my Husband and I like family.
So professional
This car dealership treats you like family! I bought a used 2015 Chevy truck with only 6k miles on for our business last year, and they couldn't have treated me any better. Extremely professional, every person you speak to or pass at the Dealership is professional, says hello, and asks if they can help you. When I bought the truck, Joe came out and showed me everything about it, the XM trial radio subscription, how to sync my phone via bluetooth to the truck, etc. I bought an almost new car with similar mileage, at a different dealership last year and got treated like absolute garbage. When I purchased my car from the other dealership, they didn't even inform me I got a free 3 month trial of XM radio, thanks a lot. Kightlinger's treated me like I was buying a brand new vehicle and spending double the money, they really roll out the red carpet for you and make you feel like your important to them. You've got a customer for life! Thanks for the great treatment.
Travis was very helpful in getting me the EXACT vehicle I was looking for. There wasn't another one like it for several hundreds of miles, so driving 140 miles just for this was well worth it. The sales department is excellent, and the service manager is practically bending over backwards to fix warranty issues. I would DEFINITELY deal with Travis and the rest of the team at Kightlinger, if I just lived a lot closer! I've never seen so much dedication to someone buying the oldest truck on the lot, but thus far they have completely changed my opinion about dealerships for the better. Keep up the good work!
Edit: I'm seeing some negative reviews here. I'll keep you posted as to how well they deal with my issue. I don't want to say I have high expectations, but I do have faith that these guys will come out on top. Stay tuned!
Update: I found a local dealership who was willing to honor and work with Kightlinger's warranty. I am very satisfied with both the vehicle and the service. Kightlinger had the exact truck I was looking for, and the experience with them has been refreshing. If I were located much closer, I would consider purchasing my next vehicle from them. The only thing that keeps me from going back is the 120 mile drive! Otherwise, I am pleased.
I bought a 2004 chevy silverado 2500 HD 6.0L (gas) with 88k on it for $16,000 in December of 2014 right around christmas time. from the first day that i brought the truck home I've had issues with it. upon arriving home i see the truck started running hot and smelled of coolant. turns out i drove the truck all the way to salamanca,NY with no coolant. The truck had a bad water pump. over the next few months several things continued to go wrong with the truck. each time i had to take the truck to kightlinger to get fixed. which they did fix. At one point i was having issue with a rear passenger door. they opened up the panel and found an old nest inside the door. the mice had chewed through wires and the rear door needed to be re wired. they fixed that and now the rear window does not lock. it still works with the power off and all the doors open. it is constantly on. I asked for an extended warranty which i was denied. the last time i had the truck in a few weeks ago the brake light and abs light came on. On saturday june 20th i noticed my brake light had come back on. i checked the fluid when i got home. it was extremely low. so i proceeded to add fluid. after doing so i started the truck and pressed the brake pedal. at which point i hear a gush of fluid. to my astonishment i have a broken brake line. i call the dealer to fix it as its kknd of a big deal. at which point joe (manager i think) proceeded to become irritated with me. He stated that the brake line was no bog deal. really know big deal? i have 2 small children and am a disabled veteran who has regular appointments in buffalo, ny. So I informed joe that id be contacting coudersport news and other outlets. he didnt like that and became more irritated. at which point i disconnected the phone call.
Beware of Kightlinger motors. they seem nice at first but all they really care about i getting you off the lot. i dont know their inspection process before putting a used vehicle on the lot. but whatever it is it really needs to be reviewed.
the service writers are very helpful at getting issues resolved and this review is not directed at them but at the dealership as a whole.
Ya if they don't want to help you they say thats not thier job and they won't get paid for it. Thanks guys for the shitty help
