Recently remodeled and nicely furnished, but it won't be my first choice if I'm ever in the area again There different are conventions, parties, and tour groups crowding public areas and charging loudly up and down the halls each day.
And charging $22 for breakfast would make a lot more sense if it was something different and better than every other hotel's complimentary continental buffet!response / report this review -

The top floor ballroom/area has a great view. The garage is easy parking. My company has had events there for the past few years. The appetizers are always great. The lunch is usually lacklustre, but that not unexpected. Could also be the price point of my company. Clean and spacious. Staff is very attentive.

Fantastic views of the Potomac all the way down to the Washington Monument near Georgetown University and all the upscale shopping they have to offer and you can take a picture where they shot some scenes of The Exorcist. See photos. Walking distance from the Virginia side to the Maryland side is much quicker than trying to cross it by car. Find a safe place to park. I recommended Marriott especially if you're a guest there.

UPDATE: Christina D. from management called me and apologized for the error and fixed the charges. She was very courteous and helpful in finally resolving the issue.
BEWARE of Fraudulent Charges and no help in resolving them. I have stayed there on two separate occasions over the past two weeks; the staff is helpful and friendly when you are present at the hotel. The location is great since its easy walk to Georgetown and the Metro. The reason I am giving one star is because on my last stay, they charged me two times for the last night I was staying. I tried calling during the weekend and the person I talked too did not understand what the issues was - despite my bill showing two hotel room charges for the same night. She told me to call back Monday since the person who handles billing did not work during the weekend. It is now Monday and I have called 5 times; every hour on the hour and left messages, it seems this person dies not work on Mondays either. I checked my credit card account this morning and I see that they charged me a again for the stay.
So as of now, my room for that night originally cost $322 without taxes. I have been charged additionally $342 and $346 for that final night. $1010 before taxes has been charged to me for a night and no one at the Marriott seems to be able to help with this situation. Stay somewhere else, there is Holiday Inn right across the street.response / report this review -

Didn't actually stay here as a friend tried to forge a family/friend discount certificate expiration date. When the front desk couldn't validate his expired certificate,they never became accusatory or ride in any sense. they simply asked for a more current form and didn't even address the blatant forgery. Though I do not condone, nor did I support my friend's actions, I'm impressed by how the staff handled the situation. Kudos to them.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the cleanest hotel room I've ever had. The location is great with only a short walk to the nearest metro station.

It's a decent place. I did not stay there I went there and said for a conference. The interesting thing about the ground for about some of the conference room space is always has a very weird musty smell. It's been this way for at least a couple of years. I have no idea why. Otherwise the place is perfectly fine. Although I wouldn't go out of my way to stay there.

Good hotel. Very reasonable rates, great service and rooms. Nice bar. A bit overkill on the air freshener (can actually taste the chemicals, which I do not like). But overall really good. Will stay again.

Pros - The best part about this hotel are the beds. They are so comfortable we slept pretty much the whole time. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the White House so there are a lot of tourist areas.
Cons - you have to pay 25 dollars per night for parking and the hotel is located in a downtown area so chancing a street parking might not be the best choice. There is no free breakfast and no cable movie channels in the rooms. This is a very basic hotel that markets itself as high end. Wouldn't stay there again.response / report this review -

Great hotel, been staying and meeting family here for last 30 years, my entire life. Great service, bar area is great for mid size groups, awesome indoor outdoor pool. Rooms with phenomenal view off Georgetown and DC. Brunch not phenomenal but decent variety.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Very spacious rooms and comfortable place to stay. The location wasn't too bad, being a 5-10 minute walk to Rosslyn station. I would recommend it for someone on a budget but still wants hotel conveniences

I travel a lot for work and this hotel is very disappointing. 1) the rooms are amazingly small. That I could get past but 2) this is the first hotel I have been in that did not have power outlets at the desk. If you want to plug something in you need to crawl behind the corner of the desk to find ONE outlet.. I tend to try to stay at Marriott properties as often as I can. I can honestly say this hotel makes them look bad.
Additional, there is just a general lack of attention to detail. Things like a cracked outlet, outlets crooked, discolored tile in the bathroom ceiling and only one light next to the bed (and only one outlet,)response / report this review -

The location was great, about a 7 minute walk from the metro station and very easy to find. The staff was incredible (a friend had transferred the reservation to me). The room looked great, and the mirrors were amazing. The room service was very worth it, and the price was pretty comprable to if I had gone out for breakfast in the area. The surrounding area is also beautiful, with artwork everywhere!

The room was clean. The service was friendly. The meeting rooms and adjacent restrooms were more than sufficient. The views were nice. I saw the Washington, Lincoln and Jefferson memorials from the top floor. The catered food was all tasty, strong coffee, great fruit salad. The overnight guest internet was not free.
