The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are large, clean and comfortable.
The location is excellent for people looking to stay within walking distance to DC attractions.
The Metro red line is one block away, and the blue line is two blocks away. Very good location with plenty of restaurants nearby.
The beds are comfortable and the linens and towels are clean and good quality.
There is free wifi, hair dryer, iron, microwave, mini fridge, in-room safe, Keurig coffee maker and complimentary bottled water.
This is a great location for tourists, business trips, or people looking for a reasonable place downtown.
I will definitely stay here again. Superb for my tastes.response / report this review -

Convenient location. Staff were generally indifferent but the really awful thing was the noise during the night for the rooms on the rear side of the hotel. Each morning around 4 a dump/garbage truck would switch out dumpsters creating an incredible noise. For this reason would not stay here again.

Location was ideal. The doorman was nice. The room had the standard necessities. The bed was comfortable. There was a kitchen with a full sized fridge -- that was unnecessary, and some colleagues complained about the noise of the fridge -- but OK.
My view was of a back alley with dumpsters. Alright whatever, I reasoned -- the fundamental purpose of a hotel is to sleep. I'm not there to look out the window. I was fine until the trucks began jostling the dumpsters at around 4 am. For the rest of the night it was BANG BANG BANG, beep beep beep (truck backing up), BANG BANG BANG, beep beep beep It was nice that earplugs were provided on the nightstand. But earplugs were inadequate to block the noise, and I was worried about not being able to hear the alarm or wake-up call, so I didn't sleep much.
I feel sorry for this business. Does the city not have any noise ordinance? Why not? I know my boss and her esteemed guest echoed the sentiment that they would never be coming back because of the horrible night's sleep. I wonder if the hotel can sue the offending noise-makers for the financial damages they are certainly suffering. What in the world are they doing, and is it truly necessary to do it at 4 am? Looking at the reviews here, the noise problem has been going on for YEARS. I sympathize with the hotel: it's not your fault, but it is your problem.

Overall: Enjoyed my stay and definitely will keep The Quincy on my shortlist for future DC visits.
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Large, clean stylish room. Great to have couch and coffee table. Free Wi-Fi.
Cons: Shower didn't get a lot of light despite bathroom as a whole being well lit. Cold water tap in shower didn't adjust well so had hard time getting a good hot shower. Only three 24 hour garages within a few blocks (apparently not unusual for DC).response / report this review -

Booked late, was told $145 a night, but the weekday nights were charged at $208 , also be aware of a $23 "suite" tax.( DC rate) Parking was $34 a night( inc tax) but was very secure with a steel door. Fridge did not work which caused problems. Room was nice although the bathroom was small. No real storage for clothes if you have a lot of stuff. Shops in the local area are nice and some hard to find things just a block or two away. This is a central area and so the local shops close before you return at 6 or so. There is a CVS pharmacy close and a 7-11 around the corner. No breakfast though , but there are lots of places to buy breakfast. Comfy beds and good wifi. Really good restaurants just around the corner.
