Feels like they've been gradually updating the hotel. Very clean, comfortable and plenty of space. Great location. Had a really positive experience with most of the staff.
Would give them 4 stars, but some of the employees could do with a little diversity training and a refresher on professionalism and customer service. My stay wasn't horrible, I'm just persnickety.
That being said, I would definitely stay here again. Price wise, it was a pretty good deal.
Hotel seems nice. Lobby, bar, and restaurant were all clean and inviting. All staff I interacted with seemed pleasant. Three stars for not taking cash as a form of payment when staying as a guest. It's 2017 and if you can't manage taking cash from guests because unscrupulous cash payers have "stolen services" in the past, you really need to get out of the business.
Beautiful hotel perfect for business or leisure travel. Prices were great, staff was friendly, a d my room was clean and comfortable. I didn't utilize the restaurant but the bar/restaurant area looked really nice and the people seemed to be having a good time. Overall a great place to stay when traveling through DC.
Great hotel with beautiful rooms and excellent location, but very poor customer service. I stayed there with my family for a few nights in September. Every morning we woke up early and left the room to do sightseeing and came back late at night. To my huge surprise and disappointment on the morning we were checking out I received a bill with the list of charges which included a fee for breakfast we never had there. I told a receptionist there was a mistake and he insured me the money was going to be returned to me. A few days later I never got a refund and called them to hear they were still investigating the breakfast charge and I should be receiving my money soon. Called again a few days later - same story. The forth time calling I was told the charge was legitimate and the restaurant manager confirmed sending breakfast to our room. I had nothing else to do but call the credit card company to get a refund though them.

The hotel is very clean, and the room is as described and provides prices for any accessory items up front. However, I was not provided a receipt upon checkout, and am still waiting for one 3 months after my stay. I attempted to contact them by their website first, and heard no response after 1 month. When I call in, I continually get told "I'll be with you in just one moment" once every 3 minutes. I'm unable to leave a message because the mailbox is full. The hotel rooms and the accommodations are great, but the service afterwards leaves something to be desired.
Close to the mall. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice clean rooms. Cool bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic. Would stay again. Just be aware parking is expensive and if your car is a tall SUV/Truck you will not fit in the parking garage.
Wow, what an amazing hotel. Christopher at the front desk is a legend, and Jackson without a doubt the best bartender I've ever had a drink with. We stayed for a night and had the best time. Room was HUGE and clean, bathroom products by L'Occitane were amazing. Next time I'm staying in the city, I will be calling for a reservation without hesitation.
Location was excellent! Very convenient hotel in a PRIME area. It's a 10-min walk (1.1 miles) to White House and not much further to the National Mall. We stayed in a room described as a "Junior Suite". This was actually a studio apartment, including FULL cooking/dishwasher/fridge facility within the same space as the King Bed (1).
LOTS of food and retail in within walking distance. Overall, our stay was really good. Would highly recommend! Kudos to St. Gregory Hotel (Washington DC) Team! 😉👍🏻 P.S - All photos were taken by me.
P.S
Valet parking fee is kinda pricey ($42.00 per day (in/out privileges). There's a parking lot (underground) near the Hotel.
My friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the St. Gregory Hotel. The staff was very friendly, the inside had a traditional luxury feel to it, and the restaurant had a delicious breakfast. The rooms were clean and included bath products from France. There is no pool but there is a fitness center. You can't beat this place for the price!
I didn't do much. Room was comfortable. Had a king suite equipped with kitchenette. They serve breakfast and dinner and on weekends have live performances. The hotel is in walking distance to many attractions. About 20-30 min walk to Lincoln memorial/convention center and 10-15 to white house/NMAAHC. Staff was amazing and the room was very clean.
Nice hotel. Could do better with the bathrooms to male them more luxurious. Breakfast not included. We parked in a garage right down the street for much less than the $39/day price at the hotel.
-Junior suite not nearly as nice as pictured.
-appliances in suite are old and mismatched
-TV in bedroom is in the closet.
-noise from downstairs bar is incredibly loud in second floor room
-room service unavailable for lunch on weekends and has a very limited menu when it is available.
-ordering room service always resulted in 2 transfers.
-food is generally sub par for this level of hotel
-no table in room. Not even a coffee table.
-staff is very friendly, and location is great, just needs a little TLC in the room decor and layout and some improvements in the dining options.
Room was nice, staff was friendly - but internal communications are deplorable. When I called the front desk to inquire about a room service menu, there was some confusion as to which menu to use - one in the guest book, or a stand alone. Then it took an hour for Room Service to return my call - by then I had called a local restaurant and had food delivered and was eating my dinner.
Today I called about a mysterious minor charge from the hotel on my credit card. I have been holding for 17 minutes so far with no live response, beyond the person who answered initially and said they would transfer me to accounting. I am still holdingand may be while you are reading this post.
Like I said, the room was nice (not 4 star, but certainly a good 3), and I got a free room upgrade when I arrived due to the length of my stay. The staff on site are friendly. Overall, I would stay there again.
