The food was very good. The Christmas concert in the listening room was wonderful. The views from the balcony of River St and the Savannah are great. The atmosphere is perfect and the pub is so authentic that you have toilet water flowing through the pipes above your head. Definitely coming back.

I've probably stopped into this bar a dozen times when I visit Savannah. It's always a fun time with good food, cold beer, and friendly staff. Try to catch Frank's performances on the weekends. His authentic Irish music, combined with the character of the pub, help create an atmosphere that is a nice escape from the tourist traps on River Street. Ask for "Liv" at the bar and she'll instantly become a new friend. She's the best :)

The live music Sundays evenings is amazing. Waitress was prompt and polite, food was great for a bar as well. Atmosphere is cozy and welcoming - couldn't recommend enough.

Bars like this are hard to come by. Wasn't sure when we stepped in for a late night cocktail on our first night in town. Right off the river. Crowded with mostly college aged students. Traditional Irish music playing on stage. Dark and cozy and Guinness on point. Just really great atmosphere and friendly bartenders.

My girlfriend and I came in here to get shelter from the wind last December, as it was colder than we were expecting. I am so glad we did. We had the best night of our trip in here! Our ears were graced by a gentleman, who's name I totally forget, who played Irish folk songs and some of his own works. We were there for about four hours, and enjoyed the generous pours and cheap prices. We still talk about how the "whiskey fairy" (the bartender who kept on filling up the singer's drink), and what a great night it was. HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who wants a fun night, and a good time.

Went here for drinks and dessert after my birthday dinner. The bartender, Bryan was awesome and attentive. The atmosphere was great, the drinks were awesome, and the Irish Whiskey Cake was delicious. Plus its right on the river in a beautiful area and the building itself it very pretty.

Very special place. They have a large bar on the lower level to hang out and enjoy. Moving upstairs is a dining area and window view of the beautiful Savannah River. The dining area is the most special part of Kevin Barry's because it's tributary to all of our fallen soldiers and service members of our country. The food was good and reasonable prices. I chose the Sheppard pie. I will return here again, and would recommend it to others.

This place has it all! There are spots upstairs to sit with a nice view of the river. Additionally, there is a fairly large bar downstairs with great bartenders. There is also live music regularly one of the rooms. Th atmosphere is vibrant and fun. They attract a large crowd even on Sunday nights! The best bartender right. Is is Brian! Ask for him and you won't be disappointed. If you feel like a bite to eat, there kitchen is open late and they have the best Cobb salad.

Authentic Irish pub! If you are expecting tv's and dance music this place isn't for you. Expect to hear live traditional Irish songs. Don't miss the Hall of Hero's upstairs if you do go.

Like a true small town Irish pub. We stopped in for a proper pint and were not disappointed. They use nitrogen for bubbles, hit the harp with the stream from the tap, let it sit 119 seconds, top it off and put a work of art in front of you. We added a side of potato skins that were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

I feel as though 3 stars is an accurate rating for the experience my husband and I had here. We came at 4pm and there was no one in the restaurant except for another couple on the outside patio. Thinking they weren't open for dinner since we received no greeting walking in or upstairs, I asked the bartender and we ended up sitting outside on the patio. She came over and greeted us and seemed upbeat and friendly. However, it all changed as soon as we said we weren't ordering any alcohol (because I'm 20weeks pregnant). We got a soda and water. The soda she brought my husband was not carbonated. Which she should have known since it looked like ginger ale and not cola. We had to get another one (and she made a weird look towards us when we pointed it out). Made us feel weird. We ordered an appetizer and two dinner entrees. It took extremely long to get the appetizer, and when she said our food would be up shortly, I had to make sure she knew we wanted the appetizer first because it shouldn't take so long to get an appetizer. When we got the appetizer it was cold. Was obviously sitting in the window awhile. Throughout our meal, we had to go find her twice and ask for refills on our sodas because she stopped coming around. We were noticing how observant and friendly she was to the other couple which was obviously because they were drinking but not us
They do have a good atmosphere, view, and overall decent food. Service is a big deal to me so I took off two stars and especially with no one in there, I expected a lot better. I can tell by reading the other reviews that I'll probably get a nasty response by the owner for leaving anything less than 5 stars, but I am just being honest about my experiencehopefully anyone else who goes there has a better one.

In town for the week, just walking down the street looking for something good. Spotted a sign with 2 dollar beer listings and had to try it. The food was awesome, I had the fish and chips and my buddies had the brisket special, we all loved the food and cheap beers.
It's farther down the riverfront but definitely worth the walk.

We spent our first ever Thanksgiving away from home and family, and chose our favorite city to spend the Holiday in. The one thing I neglected to do was book reservations for Thanksgiving dinner, and I had to kind of scramble to find a place to eat last minute. We always stop by Kevin Barry's when we are in town for great Reuben's, great beer and a fast and friendly staff, and when we popped in on Thanksgiving Eve we were so pleased to discover that they were open for the Holiday and serving the traditional turkey meal with all the fixins. We made reservations so there was no wait, and from that point on we were really shown white glove treatment by the staff (I even spoke briefly with the owner and one of the chefs). We were shocked at how good the dinner was. The turkey was moist and tasty, the stuffing was incredible, the yeast rolls were to die for, and my girlfriend said the yams and the pecan pie were the best she had ever had. We really expected this to be kind of a throwaway meal, just something we could check off a list so we could say we had a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving, and we could not have been more wrong. In fact, this may have been the best overall turkey day meal either of us have ever had. Kudos to the owner, the chefs and all the staff!
