It is a nice place to see the new movies for a low price. Matinees are less than $10 for adults and kids. If you want to eat here that is where you will spend most of your money. The prices for the food are kind of high. Same with the drinks. I am not impressed with their mixed drinks but they do have a nice beer selection. The breakfast and a movie experience was fun. Also, throwback movie nights are nostalgic. I like that I get to see movies that I like in the theater that I couldn't see when they first came out because I was either not born or too young. If you've been to the other movie taverns that have the stadium seating and table service where you can press the button for service then don't expect that same service here. It is counter service. You order at the counter and they brimg the food to you. However, if you want to get something else or refill your drink you have to go back up to the counter to pay and receive your order. That's one of the unfortunate things about this movie tavern. But they do have great prices to see the movies. Especially during matinee hours. Four stars!
My husband come to this theater every Monday. However, I think this is our last visit. The prices have increased, and the portions have become smaller. I like getting what I pay for. 4 wings for $10 is ridiculous. $4.50 for bottle water. The tables are still too far.
I'll find a new theatre.
The theater is pretty decent and they bring your food order to you in the screening room for your movie. We were in screen 8. There is a long table in front of each row of seats. It's a little awkward and the table is a little too far away when your eating because of the aisle between the table and the row of chairs it serves. I would prefer if each seat had it's own tray table attached to the seat. Also, one of the speakers on the right wall had a noticeable rattle. I have been there before and I would go again. The food was pretty good.
Don’t be fooled by great discription. Run down theater with dirty laminate counter tops running in front of your seat. Not a real bar and only concession stand food.
Apart from the walls being so thin that you could hear the movie playing next to you, the attendant sat and watched the movie (I don't know if that's what they allow their employees to do but if they do then fine.) In addition, he left and returned several times which was distracting. The cherry on the cake was him rolling a trash can in before the movie was over and proceeding to noisily throw away garbage which he should have waited to do until after the film. I saw the 9:15 showing of It. Whatever young man was in charge of servicing that theater, needs to be retrained.
Seats don't recline much, need remodel. Table is nice, made for better foot rest than actual table. Further, pizza not totally done. That being said, cocktails we're great for a theater, all the other food was hot and done well, and it was nice being in a smaller theater with less people. I could actually enjoy the movie.
Husband and I enjoyed the afternoon showing of Baby Driver .
Found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the Tavern to be clean
and cool. Afterward we enjoyed the local establishments of the Mellow Mushroom, Blue Ribbon Grill and Kroger.. All within walking distance.
Great old school movie theater with comfy seats and good food. My hubby is addicted to the Buffalo chicken wrap and I'm a big fan of the chicken quesadilla. Great easy date night place, plus they have lower than average ticket pricing and military discount.
Fun place to see a movie and have a beer and/or food. The food is decent, but not amazing, though the beer and wine options are well priced and good. It's nice because you can order multiple drinks when you pay, but they'll bring them to you throughout the movie so you don't have to get up to order more. The sound and theater quality are good, but don't expect the equivalent of IMAX or anything.
The ticket prices are reasonable. The food is pretty good but a bit pricey! The only thins I absolutely hate about going here is when you are in the theater and you're trying to eat the food the table is SO far away from the seat!! It kind of defeats the purpose of trying to eat while watching a movie. You have to hold the entire plate of food on your lap.
Tickets are typically lower than most theaters but they make the money back two-fold with the prices on their food. Food is usually pretty good, the game day platter is A LOT of food! Inside the theater the seating arrangements are nice but it would be much better if the tables were closer to the seats. They're just too far away.
I've been here before and had an OK time. This is an older theater with no stadium seating. A bit run down. Unlike other Movie Tavern locations, you cannot order from your seat. You must order at a counter in the lobby and food is brought to you. The last time I went my food was not delivered due to an error in the kitchen.
Excellent movie theater. Very clean. The ticket price was $8.75 I bought the Bang bang Fish and fries for $10.95 really worth $6.75 The portions are very small for the price. But very good. And the Strawberry Daiquiri was yummy. $8.75 My only major complaint is the theater was warm. But it could've been the liquor in the daiquiri. 😂😂😂 Dk.
GREAT seating! Never a bad seat in the theater. Clean and quiet and where can you get that inside the fence?? Great food and snacks. Sit back and have a couple of cold ones (on tap too). Mixed drinks while lounging REALLY a great, fun place.😀
