Great course, great prices and affordable carts when you book online. The staff in the club bar is also very friendly and helpful.

This is a decent public course that is pretty wide open and forgiving. Unfortunately I was there the week before overseeding so the course was pretty dried out and brown.

Be prepared to play a long slow round of golf. Customer service is mediocre and your tee time will not start on time, they dont even inform you of this because its pretty standard. The course itself is ok for the price, but the overbooking and slow play makes it unenjoyable.

CAUTION WHEN BOOKING AT KEN MCDONALD GC: I wish I could leave a 'no star' rating because my experience here yesterday was AWEFUL!! Now before I go on a rant I will let everyone know the course is in good shape and the value is certainly worth the money. Let me now tell you whats not worth the moneyThe time we waited/wasted and the lack of customer service received. We had a 1:16pm tee time and was told they were running 5-10 minutes behind. Not a problem as that is expected. What isn't expected when playing at a course is being packed in like sardines. These guys booked tee times every 6 minutes. EVERY 6 MINUTES?!?! That's insanity at it's finest. The guys ahead of us were a 1:10pm tee time and the guys behind us were a 1:22pm, so on and so forth. It was a minimum 10 minute wait at every single hole. I think we waited 23 minutes to tee off on the 9th hole. I know of at least 6 people that paid for 18 holes and were so upset and frustrated they left after 9 holes. Two of those people were in our group. We ended up teeing off at 1:33pm and didnt reach the 10th hole until 4:49pm. Oh, and we didn't see the cart girl until the 8th hole, about 2 and a half hours into our round. She was very pleasant by the way. Lets fast forward to hole 11, where our golf cart DIED. Dead, deceased, done for the round. I called the club house on my personal cell, told them what happened and they said they would send someone out right away. Me and my friend walked 3 holes and finally on hole 14, an hour later, someone showed up with a new cart in tow. We managed to finish our round just before the sun went down. I play a lot of golf and have never had an experience as bad as this one. I will never come back to this course due to the way they treat their customers which is a shame because the course was actually fun to play and in decent shape. I'm just not into playing a round that takes 6 hours to finish or having to walk when I paid to ride. I'm in decent shape and I don't mind walking, it's just the principal that someone told me they would be "Right there" with a new cart and it took them over an hour. I would never, EVER treat my customers like that. CAUTION WHEN BOOKING AT KEN MCDONALD GC.

Fun course, great rates. I grew up playing this course and it's a staple in tempe.
Edit: How this course doesn't have over 4 stars is beyond ration. The value is incredible.

Super Course and a Great Value, I can see why this is one of the Qualifying courses for the Phoenix Waste Management Open, The Staff is Amazing, The Management of the Course, Greens, Fairways is Outstanding for a Public course. This is a Straight Forward Track that is Fun to PlayPlay Ready Golf and Help Speed up Flow and you can get this Done in 2.5 Hours. The Back 9 (Old Front 9 to us Veterans) Has some of the Greatest holes in this Part of the Valley!!
