As much as I'd like to hate on this place for its choice of decor and name, it was a wonderful hotel. The room didn't smell, the courtyard had lots of sun and the location and price were absolutely unmatched. Very happy with the service and cleaning staff, the only issue I had was that since my room was right next to the free continental breakfast area, outside noise was a bit audible in the morning. Nothing too bad but it was noticible.
Nice place to stay at Good service
I loved it here.My wife loved the tub,I got in the shower. We slept comfortably. Our Valentine's day was special.I wasn't cheap I splurged for my wife.We shared the continental breakfast stories.Everybody had choice seating inside and out of the cafe and free WiFi.w
The room was dirty and outdated (blood on the sheets, hairs in the bathroom and food leftover in the mini fridge. However, the hotel is perfectly located (walking distance to Venice pier).
Just a hotel. I definitely wouldn't take a date here but if you are just looking for somewhere to crash. It is ok nothing flash. The lady on reception was super night though.
Double room for $135 a night is very expensive when you compare with somewhere like Vegas.
Good option as a price in California. The issue here is the parking If you get late, you need to park far
Clean room, friendly staff and reasonable price. The pool is kinda far from the main area. The free breakfast was limited and not a lot of choice. They have milk and 2 kind of juices, cereal, bagels, bread, yogurt, fruits. Don't expect anything fancy. Just some thing for you to get going on the trip.
Overall, I will be back again. Thank you for the good time.
I am still trying to understand how this hotel gets good reviews. We had a terrible experience that is still unresolved. We booked our stay for two nights and checked in. The room had the feel of not having had the comforter or the carpet cleaned in the last 10 years. The first thing I did is pull the comforter down so I wouldn't have to sit on it. We noticed quite a bit of dirt but decided to stay. We went for a short walk and came back to the room. After a second look, we decided to find another hotel. We took pictures of the dirt - the mold on the shower and window sill, dirty grout on the bathroom floor, crackers in the air conditioning control panel, hairballs and spiderwebs on the stairs, filthy plugs, etc. and showed them to the man at the front desk. He sent a maintenance man to the room to prove the pictures were from the actual room. The man was rude and deeply offended when we showed him the dirt. When we returned, the man at the front desk told us that clearly we had checked in, "used" the room, and were now trying to rip him off. We agreed to pay for the first night. We were told to contact the manager the next day for a refund for the second night. After many calls and messages, we still have yet to receive a refund. We are now disputing it with our credit card. What a nightmare!
The place was nice. The room was great it has comfortable bed. Staff were helpful.
I booked the room, checked in early at 12:30pm during a rain storm and when I went to my room the floors were soaked because the rain was just coming almost unimpeded through a leak in the roof. They had some towels in the ground to soak up the water. My wife was in a hospital near by and at 1:30pm they let us know that she had a good chance of getting out that day. We are from the Boston area and we were only booking the room because the hotel we were in was fully booked for the next day and because my wife was in the hospital we were going to miss out flight and have to stay another day. So upon hearing the news that we would most likely be able to catch our flight I went to cancel the room at 3:15pm. When I explained my situation and asked if I could not be charged for the room the manager very rudely told me that he won't refund me, to which I simply said fine but I am going to check out. As I walked away to go get my bags the guy came out from around the desk and told me it didn't make any sense to cancel the room because I already paid for it so they weren't going to cancel the room. So I told them that I wasn't going to argue with them about it and reaffirmed that I was checking out and leaving, at that point the guy (guy=manager) put his hands in the air and mutters under his breath as he walks away. All that being said the building is a dump in desperate need of updating, it has a decent location but there are places in the same area that are much nicer, cleaner,
Great customer service from everyone we talked to, front desk, housekeepers and the people at the breakfast. If you're sensitive to sound it might be a good idea to ask for a room not facing the street, we made that change and it was no problem at all. The interior is a bit dated but the room was spotless clean and everything worked fine! The complimentary breakfast was way better than what we expected. At this price I don't think you can find better close to Venice. We will definitely stay here again if we come back!
Great customer service. They never hesitate helping us with everything we asked for. Not the most beautiful rooms but identical as described so no surprise at all. Most important, they remain clean. Used the jacuzzi and loved it as well. Nice breakfast. Definitely it'd be a come back if I get back to Venice
