The service here is excellent, the great room is comfortable, and Fernando will make you a delicious beverage at the small Café across from the fireplace. I spent the night in a suite with my sister and this place is absolutely charming, especially if you enjoy historical properties. If complete luxury and modern touches are what interests you, this may not be the best option for you. However we enjoyed our stay.

Petit chateau in santa monica.
Beautifully furnished and kindly run.
Very quiet hideout
Walking distance from the beach.
Historical building from 1926 it was an ambassy then an hotel, most of his beauty has been kept.
Enjoy the complementary breakfast.

Lovely quiet vibe with friendly staff. Half guest house, half hotel sensitively decorated. Feels very homey.

I really liked Pali House which is a boutique hotel, the only things I thought would have made it a great hotel was there was no fridge in the room and no coffee machine, the other thing that would make it better is a liquor licence, there is a lovely area where you can have a coffee and it would be nice to be able to have a pre-dinner drink as well. It is a few blocks from Santa Monica Pier, which makes it nice and quiet, I loved it's position. The staff were very helpful and pleasant.

We stayed in one of the larger rooms, it was beautifully decorated and felt like a apartment. The lobby felt like a scene straight out of a Wes Anderson film; I loved all of the taxidermy. Great location and service.

Truly unique and fantastic hotel with perfect location in Santa Monica, feels like a mix of a boutique hotel and a (luxury) residence. The beach is just a short bike ride away and close to shopping. Can't wait to return!

I love this place. It has a lot of charm. The higher end rooms are awesome. The lower end rooms are a bit cramped. The staff is great and they are always responsive. Location is perfect: just close enough to walk anywhere but just far enough away for peace and quiet at night. My only knock against this place is that every time I stay there have to ask for a coffee pot in my room (I stay here a lot on business trips), but that may not matter to most people.

Stayed there 10/1/2016 for my daughter's wedding. I highly recommend this hotel. We all were upgraded to the top floor suites. My daughter and son in law were upgraded to the penthouse suite. This hotel has a lot of character so the pictures turned out amazing. The photographer absolutely loved it! The staff was friendly and accommodating. Loved it!!!
