Just drove 800 miles for their Old Fashioned donuts and Long Johns. (well also had a wedding too) but I used to stop there once a week after shift at NMH..great donuts

Stopped in this beautiful, Hot, Sunday am, after leaving a cafe in Harbor Springs where a breakfast with eggs, meat, hash browns and toast was a reasonable $10. 1 Danish and 2 small frosted Pumpkin cookies at your bakery was $7.50!!!! OUCH. 3 times the price it should have been and if there weren't others in the bakery, I would have refused to pay that ridiculous amount. NEVER AGAIN.

If you want good doughnuts, go wherever. If you want the best in the North, go to Johan's. After 30 years, the government made them take George away. George was their talking bird in a large cage at the main / original store in Petoskey.

Best pastry shop in Little Traverse Bay. The jalapeño cream cheese is phenomenal on an everything bagel. The donuts are amazing.. Pecan sticky rolls also incredible. Top marks!

I love coming to Johan's.
The people that server are so friendly. The Custard filled logs are delicious, the chocolate peanut butter slice will melt in your mouth, and the free cinnamon scroll that she gave us fresh out of the oven was magical.
As you drive in or through the city, make sure you stop by Johan's!!! You won't be disappointed!!response / report this review
