Very good atmosphere but, the food was very disappointing. I wanted shrimp, however, the only complete meal on the menu left much to be desired, so I just ordered (4) shrimp (Prawns) which came under cooked, and had no flavor of shrimp whatsoever. I'm pretty sure these shrimp were farmed raised somewhere, but as much as the food cost you should be able to get wild caught Gulf shrimp here at Joe Muer Seafood. The batter was so bland that you definitely needed a sauce. I sent the shrimp back and got 4 Tiger shrimp that were just as bad My elderly mom loves shrimp but couldn't eat the one spicy entree on the menu, so the waiter suggested A la carte not stating any prices. He brought her 4 grilled under cooked shrimps (prawns), mash potatoes, and a salad the tune of $80 for one person (smh) she could have had surf and turf!
She made the payment vowing to never to return. You don't mind paying for good food and service, but it leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you leave feeling like you got ripped off.
We had a lovely meal here after shopping at the Holiday Markets downtown. Our waiter, Bob, was thoughtful and attentive. He made us feel special. Thank you, Bob.
The food, ambience and service were 8/9 out of 10. However, the valet experience at the end of the meal left a bad taste in our mouths. Don’t forget to get your ticket validated. Then, on a fairly busy night, at the end of a good meal, be prepared to stand in line to get your car ticket registered, only after you’ve had it validated. Then, stand in another line to wait for your car. Overall, a not good ending to an otherwise good evening.
Exceptional. Steaks were top notch- for a steakhouse, seafood place, whatever. Lots of attentive staff on hand to provide excellent service. I’m sure their payroll is huge but believe me - it pays off. Nice job!
If you are looking for a high end place for a date night, this is a good place. The food is good and it has a great wait staff. However the location is kind of annoying because the entrance is a pain to get to. Not to mention, although it's high end, the prices are a little too high. The view is nice of the river though.
My husband and I went for a date and everything was excellent! We don't go out much but new we were going to spend some money and we did! A few drinks, excellent sushi, appetizer and dinner. We didn't have room for dessert, but it looked amazing! The white bean dip with the fresh bread was great too!
Our view was beautiful and the service was even better. It was worth every penny.
The food was absolutely amazing with an awesome ambience. My lady and I went here and had a great experience. The servers were very thorough in their presentation of menu options. The drinks were awesome and the entrees are top of the line. We would definitely be back there again soon. It is pricey so fellas make sure to be prepared to spend some guap on you and your lady.
The staff here is impeccable! Extremely friendly and helpful. We sat at the chef's table for a Bachelorette party dinner and really enjoyed our time. I had the Joe Muer sushi roll and iceberg wedge salad - all delicious! It is pricey, so make sure you get your money's worth by sitting at a table with a river view!
Glad I didn't feed into all of the bad reviews. Me and my husband went for anniversary and we LOVED IT! A bit pricey but very well worth it. Beautiful view, great food and very good service. We look forward to going again and I can't wait!
Absolutely awesome! My wife & I enjoyed a fabulous lunch on Friday afternoon including a salmon Niçoise salad, best fish tacos in the Midwest & shrimp & grits that would make a Southerner move to Detroit! Not only delicious but very reasonably priced.
Some of the best sea food I've ever had. The staff was very very nice. After your dinner, they bring you a hot towel to wipe your hands off with, and they have mouth wash in the restroom. This is a upscale place that requires casual attire. You can look at the water while you eat, it is a very nice view. This place is definitely worth trying
This place is amazing! The food is absolutely delicious. I ordered the Atlantic Swordfish and it was cooked to perfection! I also had cheesecake for dessert and Oh My Gosh! It was hands down the best cheese cake I have ever had! It was even better than the cheesecake at The Cheesecake Factory!!! "Happy Anniversary" was written on the dessert and we were congratulated by many waiters and managers walking by. The only thing was that the Sangria cocktail I ordered was a little too strong for my taste. Other than that, the customer service is excellent here and I can't wait to return to this place.
Overall a wonderful experience. The view overlooking the river and Windsor skyline at night is really fantastic. The ambiance of the room, and the service was also top notch. Menu was extremely expansive, and while I am not sure I would say the food was 5 star, it was pretty darn close.
I would highly recommend the restaurant, as hard to beat the overall dining experience they offer. We will look forward to returning.
