Pretty decent wine prices in a dark lit cozy bar with live music. Take a lady for a good date!

Nice place to enjoy a glass of wine with a friend or date. They have love music which is great, but we didn't stay late enough to check it out. They sell wine by the glass and bottle. They also sell bottles to go. Decent stemware and the staff seems to know about the wine. They have their own parking lot and a security car was parked there with a person in it all night. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's nice. Bathrooms could be redone.

Unprofessional. My friend and I were told to pay a cover at one door but not the other. Confused, I simply asked what time that they stopped charging seeing as we arrived at an odd time and within 20 seconds suddenly there was no charge. On the way out, I asked the bartender what time free admission started (I was interested in holding an event there). As she answered, a man with a suitcase came up and asked if I wanted my 7 dollars back with an attitude. I responded that I hadn't paid but was just wondering. I ask if he's the owner and he responds no he just works there. Suddenly, another woman aggressively begins speaking at me, not knowing the situation. She tells me she's the owner to which I respond, "that's really professional." My friend and I had a good time and I actually enjoyed the bar before the manager and two employees began ganging up on me and threatening to call the police for asking a simple question. Even if I was drunk and belligerent (which I was not) the lack of professionalism was insane. They ended the exchange by threatening to call the police. My friend and I immediately left, not intending to start issues but as soon as we got outside she commented how shocked she was with the entire situation and how my demeanor and question in no way warranted the response I received. I have since contacted the police because no establishment in this city should have such a lack of professionalism towards costumers who don't fit the criteria of the "new" Detroit, despite paying and tipping like everyone else.

Great people, great service. They have live bands at times. They dont offer as much as I expected, and the place is a bit small. Great place overall.

The worst first time experience in this place. I am livid at the lack of customer service especially on my first visit. I received no acknowledgment from not 1 of the 5 people at the bar upon my entrance. Granted I was on the phone which is no excuse to say a brief hello to a customer. And even after I got off the phone no acknowledgement for a good 5 minutes as I sat at bar with no other customers at bar. The 5 people all seemed to be coworkers or such I had to ask were they open. The amount of rude sarcasm I received when I expressed my disgust was what made me even more livid. They were laughing. As a fellow business owner in Detroit I cannot let this go unnoticed totally unacceptable I plan to let others know of this experience I felt extremely uncomfortable and almost discriminated against

POOR OWNERSHIP Visited during a wine tasting event on a Saturday night. Someone how the parking lot became a gridlock and close to midnight I was ready to drive a half hour home but unfortunately my car was blocked in. The attendant was clueless so I went inside and found the owner. Whilst dancing and drinking his glass of wine he smugly told me "idk what to tell you" "we don't have a mic to make an announcement" continued to dance and neglect my situation. I wanted to go home! I called the tow company and was told to have the owners call and request a tow and they'll come right out. I went back in, asked the wife to call the tow company so I could move my car and leave and she threw her hands up in confusion. From that point I said: okay I'll just call the police and get an officer out here to reinforce what I'm saying. In frustration she just ran away. Spoke with the police and about 20 minutes later the woman managed to find the person of one of the cars blocking me in. So about an hour later of standing outside in the cold with high heels on I was able to go home.
The fact that they don't have control over their private parking lot is an issue. The fact that they don't have a microphone to make announcements is a problem. The fact that the owner was completely unwilling to accommodate me and literally ignored me is a problem. Had the owner expressed the least bit of concern I could have been far more patient. It took me calling the police for someone to finally show some urgency. For compensation I was offered a GLASS of wine. Never again will I set foot in this establishment. It's a shame that in the city of Detroit you have these sh*t business men treat patrons so poorly.response / report this review -

Love this place. Love the wine selections and also the bottles they sell. Always bringing new varieties from different countries that you wont find anywhere else. They also offer cheese sandwiches and deli plates. Its great place to hangout indoors in winter and outdoor on the patio in the summer. Also i recommend stopping by if you are getting someone a bottle of wine as a gift.
