Food was awesome! From the appetizers to the desserts! This is an upscale place, but I'd really recommend for special occasions.

The interior is wonderful for a weekend evening. Low lighting with a bit of brilliance here and there. The space is massive and the oysters are the best you can get in Boston. Try a seasonal cocktail. Be curious and the bartender will gladly explain his or her inspiration for the drink in your hand. Beautiful place.

Excellent raw bar. Expensive but you're getting very high quality. Great oyster sliders and the shrimp was the size of a fist.

Great service. Oysters are very fresh. Some novelty and good execution.

One of my favorite clam chowders in Boston! They don't do the chunky clumpy type of chowder though if that's what you're looking for. This oyster bar is cozy and spacious compared to some of the other popular oyster bars around town. You won't be disappointed by their oysters!

We waited an hour to be sat, and by the time our waiter bothered to take our order they were out of everything we wanted (which he didn't tell us beforehand but knew about prior). When our food finally arrived, it was cold, unimaginative, and not worth the price we paid for it. The lobster bisque is watery. Their "biscuits" are just cakes, really, so keep that in mind if you order one. Their cocktails are delicious, though. Overall wouldn't eat here again.

Would you like an amazing lobster roll? How about great service?

Well that is what I found here. At 33.00 menu price for this tasty morsel it's a bit much. But after a Red Sox win there is no better way to splurge a little and celebrate.

I liked everything about the experience and I would return again

One of my favorite places in Boston. Fresh seafood, including Duxbury's own Island Creek Oysters (the namesake), tasty apps (Fried Oyster Sliders = a must), and entrees (my favorite right now is the Lobster Roe Noodles with Braised Short Rib). A great drink selection, including tasty rotating cocktails. Highly recommended!

I come here often and am never disappointed. The food is always AMAZING and I just love the oyster selection. The waiting staff always goes above and beyond and are very helpful.

Island Creek Oyster Bar is certainly a great place if one wants to experience a non-existent service in a hype atmosphere. We booked a table a Saturday night at 8 pm. Upon arrival, a waiter explained to us that, despite the reservation, no table is immediately available and suggested us to be patient in the crowded entrance.
After 30 minutes of waiting and unsuccessful punctual requests directed to the staff, who acknowledged our presence with disdain at best, we decided to leave this hellhole.

Definitely the poorest customer service I ever experienced.

There is a lot of hype around this restaurant, and perhaps my review is flavored by expectations set too high. It was very good, but it was not exceptional. If i had visited without expectations, i might have given it four stars. Atmosphere is important to me. It felt tight inside, and pretty blah.

A friend and I dined her during our visit to Boston and we loved it. We ordered the lobster bisque and the lobster roe noodles. They were both very delicious! The price is a bit on the higher side, but we pretty much expected that. I think it's totally worth it.

You can also get fresh oysters here, but we didn't try some. The ambiance is really nice, a bit on the romantic side. But don't worry if you're a solo traveler, since they also have plenty spaces at the bar. Overall I would definitely recommend this place to taste some yummy seafood.
