The best Music venue in Alabama. Have went to several shows there. More of a personalized setting to see your favorite bands. Good security, good food, and drinks.
Came to meet Coaches Gene Stallings and Pat Dye. Really cool venue. Would love to come again to a concert! The food at the adjacent restaurant "The Grill" was very good.
Nice venue. Nice staff. Got a different colored bracelet for being under 21 and they still covered the backs of my hands with Sharpie, they said it was mandatory(I'm allergic to ink from those markers). Other than that and my hands breaking out from the ink, the concert was great.
I LOVE this venue!! I was in a wheelchair last time i was there and the staff was incredible! They help you with everything and the bathrooms are amazing and great for handicap ppl. They provide a nice smoking area outside on a patio. I would recommend seeing a show here anytime you have the opportunity!
An intimate venue that showcases some of the best in music, from the past and the present. Also, the food menu changes with the seasons. It is always delicious and from local farmers.
Iron City Birmingham is one of my favorite places. The food is always good, the Cuban is excellent! The staff is friendly and quick to get drinks and orders out. The concert venue is the best in Birmingham. Always great sound and just a very fun environment.
Typically a great venue. Parking is a challenge, and with open seating, early arrival is a must. Reasonable drink prices, and show tickets are usually worth the cost.
I went and saw Primus in May, and that was a substandard experience. The vocals were so poorly equalized that the lyrics were imperceptible.
At the same show, the crowd on the floor got rough enough that my wife and I were pushed to the ground. At another point, I had a fresh drink knocked from my hand. At another moment, a person next to me lit a joint.
It wasn't their best night, but I usually have a better experience.
This place is beyond cool. The epitomy of a southern concert venue. Security is polite but not there to play around. People at the door are beyond accommodating whenever possible. Bartenders are simply amazing. This matters because IT'S A CONCERT VENUE WITH A FULL BAR WITH DRINKS STARTING AT $6!!! I'll def be going back the next time my Alabama appetite craves live music
Great location for a business lunch
On the recommendation of a co-worker, we took out of town guests here for a business lunch. What a great choice! Unique to Birmingham favorites with an innovative flair. We all loved our meals, and this was an incredible experience. We didn't have a sale to make, but if we had, lunch at the Grill would have put us over the top! Thanks for a great meal and memory!
This is the Best place for concerts!!
I got to see Willie Nelson up close and personal.. I even got his autograph
I absolutely love it!
Terrific venue with some of the friendliest employees. We loved the different options from where to view a show, depending how close you want to be & if you want to sit down or stand up. We had never been here before and Melissa & Megan were so nice describing which we way we should head for our best vantage point. We're short, 5'1, so a little planning is necessary. Had a few drinks in the bar before the show and Tyler (bartender) was fantastic & funny. Great security, check bags & pat down. Peace of mind!! Shocking how some venues do nothing but check ID & slap an arm bracelet on you. Love Iron City & hope to return!
Thanks to all the employees especially Tyler, Megan & Melissa!
I have been to many venues before but iron city is by far on the bottom of my list. To the disrespectful staff all the way to the crowded and crammed floor it made it very hard to enjoy the music. I was almost thrown out by security for not having a wristband when I was never told I had to have one, even tho my hands were marked with an "X", and I had security smell my drink to make sure it was non alcoholic 3 times by 3 different security guards. The floor is way to small to fit a large crowd. You are lucky to get maybe 50 people on the floor itself. Sound equipment could have been better but overall I feel like iron city is overrated and be very cautions about going here as you will be crammed, harassed, and uncomfortable for most of your night. I will say they do have some great A/C.
Consistently great acts at even better prices. In the few years since it's opened, I've seen acts like the Arctic Monkeys, Earl Sweatshirt, Purity Ring, Explosions in the Sky, Jim James, Local Natives, Mac Miller, and likely countless more I can't think of off the top of my head. Great atmosphere, great sound, and I even got to meet Purity Ring's lead singer after the show. Definitely one of my favorite venues in Birmingham.
I can't say enough for Iron City. Parked within a block, bought a very affordable ticket at the door, and had the time of my life. Thanks to the combined effort of Iron City and Hippie Sabotage, I got front row, crowd surfed for the first time, partied on stage with the artist, got a free shirt (pictured), and met the band (pictured). The security and staff there were very effective but only in the most polite way. Whether it be will call or security, I was met with smiling faces, ready to help make my experience the best it could be. A lot of the experience at a concert is what you make of it, but Iron City does their job promoting your enjoyment in every way possible. From location to lineup to facilities, Iron City has everything you could want and more.
