Horrible customer service. In the drive thru line for over 10 minutes and there was only one other car in it. She left the window without explaining she was having difficulty with the other customer. Then when I ask they look at me crazy like I was speaking jiberush.

I became a member of America's First in 1982 when it was "Iron and Steel Credit Union" in Ensley. I can remember in the mid to late 80's, how they treated their members with so much respect and made you feel as if you were actually a "member".but NOW, most of the employees had rather talk and "cut up" with each other, and treat members as outsiders who are there simply to "bug" them. EVERY bit of the respect and kindness that I was given over the years has COMPLETELY turned to suspicion and distrust. There are absolutely NO benefits of belonging to America's first except a few of the "run of the mill" credit union benefitsNOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL. Honestly, I opened an account at a bank.and to be honest, although they do not have "members", I'm treated more like a MEMBER of their organization than I am at America's First where they HAVE members! I went in with a problem recently, and I left carrying the problem back out with me! It was as if they did not trust me at alland to be blunt, unless you're black or above average white, don't even APPLY for a loan! After belonging fourty years, they turned me down on a $500 loan FOR DENTAL WORK!!!!.and WHY? Because I do not have any other credit accounts. I have dealt with paying at the point of sale instead of applying for credit! That's the way I was raised!

So easy to get a car loan through them. They gave me the best rates for both of the cars that I have purchased. Super nice and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
