We were a part of a graduation diner celebration for ten this past Saturday. Our food, service and ambience made for the most enjoyable gathering. Two of us had special food preparation requests and were treated with personalized care. Our experience could not have been any better. Thank you.

You can't go wrong at Flanagan's. We stop here after each Iowa home game and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and reasonable. Service exceptional!

Great date night with my husband after a long weekend at Anime Iowa! If you like Spinach Artichoke Dip, this place has the best we've ever had!! Soooo good!

This is the second time I have been here. To be honest, the first time did not amaze me, because it was the first brunch I had ever in America, I had nothing to compare. After one year living here, this visit makes me realize how good the food is here. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because it is really expensive I mean, you can easily get what you eat in the buffet with what you paid anywhere else, they just put them together.

We were passing through town (from Michigan)and actually were camping in the area. We had reason to celebrate so I found this place on the river to have dinner. We had a wonderful table with a nice view of the river,
dam and walkway. Service was just right. I feel bad I don't remember servers name The surf and turf was probably the best meal we have ever had. The filet was cooked a perfect medium rare/medium and the lobster tail was HUGE and cooked to tender perfection. The shrimp scampi pasta dish we also ordered was unremarkable, but the surf and turf was plenty to share and made up for it. I don't write many reviews but I can't stop thinking about that meal! My wife and two boys had Sunday brunch with my father-in-law yesterday for Easter. The food was incredible. We had a very little wait time and the waitress was very responsive. The price tag is a little high but think it was well worth the money.
The setting is cool being right next to the Iowa River. Inside the building has many old time relics that makes for a great atmosphere.
It is quite in demand, however, so please be sure to reserve your spot at least a few days in advance--if not more.
I would recommend to all to give this a chance--you won't regret it.response / report this review -

Would give it 5 stars except it is very expensive. Had roast duck, it was fantastic. Very nice view of the river from most tables.

All & all a very good experience. The decor, view, & ambiance are wonderful. Our wait staff was fantastic, and the food was delicious.
I had the Steak Oscar which was amazing while my wife had the Filet with Monterrey Shrimp. Both dishes we'd suggest to try if you've either not had them before, or not been here before. Our only complaint is that our food was not quite hot, just "warm". If not for that, we'd have given 5 stars.
We'll definitely be back in the spring and/or summer time to enjoy the beautiful patio overlooking the Dam & River.response / report this review
