My Boyfriend and I called the hotel before we arrived to see what their availability was, & also to see what the nightly rate was. Once we arrived, we did not get the rate we were told, once we tried to explain this to the lady at the desk, she stated that she could not fix it. Someone else walked up and received the rate we were trying to explain to the lady we were told it was for the night. Long story short we just ended up paying the rate we were given. Once to the room it was not pleasant, we couldn’t open the room door it was rusted on the hinges. The shower was not clean, the bed was sunken in, in the middle, and the floor was dirt. We did not have a good experience at all.

The breakfast buffet is $12.95 per adult. There is no way to know that their continental style breakfast costs this much. There is no sign showing the prices and the staff do not tell you until they give you a bill. Complete rip off, and the food was not great. The eggs are fake, and the sausage is cheap. There is nothing made to order. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. The rest of the hotel was fine. The pool and hot tub are nice and big.

Conference rooms and meeting facilities lived up to expectations. Very nice. The rooms left much to be desired. Assigned three different rooms over three days. One room with No air conditioning. Another room had soot and gravel falling into bathroom from the vent. Non working telephones, non-working wifi. First night no outdoor lighting.

I found the hotel not of my liking in the least. Outside it looked good and presentable. It's lobby, again looked decent.
As for the room we stayed in, (I later found out it was in the OLD section of the hotel) it was there that I had my issues. We were never TOLD that the room was previously USED BY SMOKERS (also the premises is pet friendly) which was never mention at all.
Having allergies plus being in such a room was no picnic. We could have complained, but by that late time of night, I though it would create more problem that I would care to mention.
We decided to stay in such room and deal with the situation.
Other factors that followed were, water bug in bathroom surprising when the light was turn on. Water in toilet running all night long. Water Control on shower head was defective. BathTub would pooled the water cause drainage was dead slow.
Rug was dirty, a/c unit was rumbling all night long with its weird noise.
The one good thing that we did get to enjoy were the good treatment of its workers at the front desk and it's cafeteria. Yes! the breakfast was also of good quality with plenty to go around.
I hope that this will help not only the guests but more importantly its management. Thank you all.

The room was completely out dated. The TV was a zenith picture tube television with a semi work able remote. There were brown water stains on the ceiling. Wallpaper peeling off in spots. The toilet ran all night long even after getting up at all hours to jiggle the handle. The air conditioning unit had a screeching sound to it while running. There were young adults running around outside of our room all hours of the night yelling and screaming. The only thing we enjoyed at the resort was the food at Mambos. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the chicken Caesar salad. The band was supposed to play from 1 to 7 but didn't start until 2:15 and we're packing up by 6:30.

The hotel is competitively priced for the arts and right on the beach. The pool is lovely and there is a separate area perfect for children to play. The rooms are okay and were getting a makeover the last time I stayed there (September 2016). We had booked again for this year however the hotel has to close due to the hurricane. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful.

It was a decent stay. The staff was friendly and I received follow up texts regarding our happiness with the accomodations. The location was great, less than 100 yards to the beach through their beach bar area Mambos. Mambos had good drinks, decent food, and there was a beach equipment rental kiosk. There is a great Thai/sushi restaurant (Siam Orchid) right across the street. The hotel is a bit dated. The bedside and wall outlets were so worn only 2 out of 8 would allow actual charging the rest the plugs just fell out. The tub spigot would not turn off all the way and trickled the entire stay and temperature control was tricky either cold or boiling showers. The air conditioners were functional but noisy. Simple request made prior to check in was not honored.

Hotel has been let go. Outlets in the room didn't work. Fridge did not work. Staff promised to replace but just never came back. Second night we moved to an ocean front view and the room was slightly better. Bar was alright and staff was nice. I heard the Hilton bought it so maybe improvements are coming..

This resort is just ok. The staff members are nice and helpful, but the rooms are a bit dated. The room was not that clean and the bathtub had some rust color stain in it. My wife and I wore are flip flops when we took a shower. The pool was nice and they had a kid pool area with a big pirate ship for the kids. The reason we booked this place was because my wife got a very cheap room rate through her work. I will not be going back to this resort unless it gets a huge renovation.

They cancelled my key and my daughters key 6 times in a 3 period because of a "computer error". The room had no working telephone, leaking shower, the a.c. broke twice, and I even had to put the filters in myself. No working coffee maker, the television was not working. The floor was covered in sand, after house keeping was just there. The towels smelled of bleach and ammonia. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I was better off living in my truck. A complete waste of money. They only gave excuses and eventually said "the hotel was sold so why should care" . Horrible attitude. Avoid at all costs.

The place has great potential but is in major need of upgrades. I'm not saying it needs to compete with five star places but a little work would go a long way. Our first room the AC didn't work and it did not have a phone. The shower didn't work properly. We got moved and the room was better but there were still an obvious need for improvement. I think a few updates and a good maintenance initiative would make a huge difference. That being said, the staff was friendly and quick to help us when we had issues. The beach is nice. The pool is cool. There are awesome fire pits for making smores and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

I've always enjoyed staying here but this trip is disappointing. I arrived early so asked if I could check in early. I was told there would be an additional $30 fee for an early check in, I was okay with that I wanted to spend the day relaxing at the pool, having lunch and a cocktail. The room was very dated and the poolside bar/ restaurant was closed. So I feel I paid extra to enjoy only half of the amenities that are normally offered here.
