A fun mother-daughter excursion after a work conference in Orlando. We had a great time in Cocoa Beach! Off season is quiet during the week, but by Friday night and the weekend things come to life! The Courtyard was very nice and clean and for the most part, staff was cordial. I would suggest that they kick it up a notch on friendliness and customer service, however. At times it felt like a very simple request was getting in the way of what they considered more important work. (One example, I asked for 2 place settings and 2 glasses for wine that we brought along so that we could enjoy a leftover meal in our room. I was given attitude and plastic utensils; despite a full diningroom and room service. I asked again nicely and was given 2 dessert plates. I returned to my room and called a manager and he gave me what we had asked for. I felt bad that i had to take it to that level - my first request should have been welcomed and accompanied with, is there anything else that you need?) I would stay there again, but would suggest an adjustment in service attitudes. Again, cordial is ok, but warm and friendly is what a traveler expects.
There is no "oceanfront" at all but it's advertised as having oceanfront rooms. There are lots of buildings between an ocean view balcony and the ocean. We were at first disappointed but then grew used to our view we saw the cruise ships leave the port despite a building blocking the view.
Cocoa Beach is a great town filled with wonderful restaurants and shops and good down-to-earth people. Will definitely return!
This property is beautiful. It's basically right on the beach, has a nice big pool and pool area. All the food we had there was great. The staff was super friendly. I will stay at this property again!
Fantastic place to stay! Lovely, quiet, clean rooms. All the staff are so friendly. Theresa was very knowledgeable about the area and really took the time to ensure a pleasant stay. Thanks again!
Good location, very friendly staff. Nice little lounge area with a Starbucks if you crave coffee. Didn't eat the bistro but the menu looked really good.
Comfortable room and nice pool n jaccuzi. Quick food service and fair price. Hard part is to find a parking spot but usually you always find one. Great to have a fridge and microwave in the room
Loved staying at this hotel for a mini vacation with some friends this past weekend. Service was great, rooms were clean, everything was taken care of quickly and efficiently along with a smile. If I ever take a mini vacation to Cocoa Beach again this will be where I stay!
This is the second time I have stayed at this Courtyard. I was here for a funeral. My fabulous stay began when I stopped at the front desk to pick up my keys and the receptionist waived the parking fee because he said, "You have enough on your plate." They have a great Starbucks in the lobby and a very good restaurant menu. Kudos to Lucas, Theresa, and Lynda who took care of me every morning and made a great iced latte. The pool is a mineral pool (not chlorine) and they have a hot tub. You can swim for hours and your skin still feels soft. Although they are not on the beach, it's a quick walk.
We checked in the week after hurricane so we didn't know what to expect BUT since it was a Marriott we figured it would be good. Well, there is no WIFI and had trouble with hot water. The maintenance man came up quickly and fixed everything.
The ladies working the bar and food area were awesome! Food was really good and service was excellent !
The beach was a short walk from the hotel which was good! The pool was full of debris which was a bit of a bummer.
Overall, under the circumstances everything was good.
Website implies an oceanfront hotel which it is not. Says steps from the ocean. More like a parking lot, another hotel and a building of condos before you get to the beach. The website and Marriott reservations made it sound like the king room with pull out sofa sleeps 4. Definitely not! It's a twin pull out sofa. Not a very relaxing stay when I found that out at 10:30 at night and no other rooms to move to. 3 people had to sleep in the king bed. After 5 phone calls I was able to get a discount but was definitely not what I planned for a short, relaxing get away.
As a Marriott rewards member not very pleased. Maybe I'll start building my Hilton points instead.
rooms are gorgeous, spacious, and as clean as can be. loved the pool and the cafe and thr beach is a very short walk away. staff is beyond friendly. enjoyed my stay very much
We are currently staying here while we visit family. The rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly, the pool is big and clean. The vending machine ate my money so I went to the front desk. She gave me my money back without hesitation and an out of order sign was put on the machine right away unlike other places that yeah yeah you and do nothing. Will definitely stay here again!
well situated and within walking distance (5 min walk) to the beach. friendly, helpful staff. nice pool / hot tub. updated decor, nice large rooms
Pretty standard Marriot experience which is usually a good thing. Clean, nicely decorated, pleasant staff and pools/bars. I am one who enjoys to work out so like any hotel gym, this does not meet my needs.
If you plan to sleep, stay somewhere else. Loud music and yelling until 3 am from room next door, calling the front desk resulted in about 15 minutes of quiet. The walls are also paper thin, so you hear every tiny sound from adjacent rooms. The front desk was less than sympathetic the following morning. The clerk barely looked up from her computer to acknowledge my presence and told me I should have been more proactive about handling it. Very poor customer service.
