We were there for my work's Christmas party. The hotel is very nice and the staff is fantastic. The view of the plaza is amazing, particularly with holiday decorations.

A beautiful hotel with a nice pool, great views of the Plaza, a nice large open bar with a fireplace and music (live music and Jazz many times). It is always clean, bright and service is excellent. They have valet parking and self parking in the garage. There is a business center and nice dining area for breakfast, lunch and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating. I have only stayed at the hotel once but have been many times to meet for breakfast, dinner or drinks.

For the pricey nightly rate I expected the rooms to be in better condition. Bathroom door locked me in. Room was equipped with two bath towels and not one hand towel. I had to ask house keeping for towels and wash clothes and hand towels. Not one bottle of water was there for me. I had to ask housekeeping to leave me 2 bottles of water next time room was cleaned and they did. When I ran the tap water to make coffee, water ran brown. So no coffee for me. The sink had a pretty steady drip, hot water wouldn't stop flowing. Cant image what that drip is costing per month. But the hotel is beautiful and the staff is nice.

What you would expect from a five star hotel. Very nice, friendly, super clean and in a very area. Lot of parking in garage.
I stayed here while catching a Texas Ranger away game. It so happened they stayed there too! It was a nice surprise.

Love, love, LOVE the view!!!! This was without a doubt one of my top 5 favorite hotel stays.
My husband, our small children, and I stayed here while visiting family and were concerned at first because of the construction that was going on that we'd be less than satisfied with the experience. (We booked online and were not warned about the work being done) To our delight, though, we were ever so wrong.
The double room had extra plush beds, an amazing view, and lots of walking space which made it extremely comfortable. And even though they were in the middle of remodeling the hotel, it still felt really inviting.
The staff members were so friendly and helpful. They offered complimentary breakfast but we but we passed on it. We did, however, order the wings from the room service menu, which were really good. Then later that evening, my husband and I enjoyed complimentary drinks in the lounge then took a walk through the Country Club Plaza to one of the nearby restaurants for dessert - the perfect ending to any long day.

As always great room, friendly staff, perfect location. I would say maybe put something along the bottom of the door for the rooms near the elevator (could hear everything). Also, on a Saturday need more bartenders at the pool. Amy did great but she was so busy and the lines were long. It is still a 5 star hotel and will stay here many more times.

Very nice, clean hotel with great service and a nice view. The only problem was that while the TV in the room was huge, it had fairly poor reception on many of the channels. Maybe its not their problem, but it seemed like it. Some channels were so fuzzy they were unwatchable. I wasn't there to watch TV though so I can't complain. The food served in the conference halls was above average for a conference.

I love the Intercontinental Hotel on the Country Club Plaza. They have excellent live music in a very comfortable atmosphere. It's always lively and classy. Sit out on the patio with a cigar and your favorite Scotch. Done in the fabulous Oak Room restaurant. The rooms are somewhat updated but can look a little dated depending upon the room you get. Rooms average around $200 per night but it's worth the convenience to the Plaza and beautiful views. Hands down this should be a stop for tourists and locals.

I was staying at a hotel downtown that was not up to par. I switched mid week to intercontinental for the exact same cost and couldn't have been more pleased. They upgraded me to a private floor without hearing my past experiences with said hotel downtown. The private floor included complimentary drinks and food in the evening and a concierge. Craig Walter was the concierge my first night and helped reinforced my decision to switch hotels. I will stay here from now on for all trips to KC. Thank you!!

This is a nice hotel. Somewhat older, but they have kept it updated. I LOVED our room. The ceiling felt low in the hallways and lobby. They have awesome views and a cool outdoor elevator. Some of the hotel feels a bit like a maze to find your way around. There are many conference rooms. One room we were in had a spot whete the ceiling leaked from the rain. Other than that, the public bathrooms had little personal washcloths to dry your hands instead of paper towels. That was nice.

We attended the recent annual Liberty Women's Clinic banquet in a large banquet hall below the main floor. The location was fantastic! Very nice, good amenities, great service, perfect space for the event. The food was delicious and served quickly. It was a very nice evening.
