Went for "Christmas at the Zoo", and had a great time! Was very impressed with all the decorating, and all the little events that they had going on. The dolphin show was great and really well performed. I highly recommend this event at one of they best zoos in the country! You can purchase you tickets online for a bit of a discount. It would make a great date night surprise for your significant other.

Had a good time at the zoo today me and to girls ages 7 and 12 both had a blast! Unfortunately the rides where down but the girls spirits were high as could be. First we stoped by the seals and then went over to see the walrus. After that we went by the tigers cage bears and bald eagle next we went to see the birds. Most of the birds where not out only the pink flamingos. The African plans where also closed for the day it was cold. Next we seen the orangutans that where doing tough screen work with pretty cool for the kids to see how smart the monkey's are.

The price is high for everything admission, food/drinks, souvenirs, attractions and you don't really get your moneys worth. Most of the animals that they have you can see at any other zoo. If you do plan on going its best to buy tickets in advance as you will save some money. If you plan on going more than once a year a membership will probably be your best bet. With all that said it is a nice clean place and they're starting to remodel some of the animal exhibits.

We were here for the Christmas lights, and wow was it fun! This place gets so decked out with lights and has some really fun ones. There are light sculptures of some of the animals and all over the trees. We did a dolphin show, lots of fun and educational. Highly recommend a trip over.

I love this zoo. It's well kept, lots of animals. It has a nice flow and a logical organization. It keeps you moving while you get to see a lot of variety. Another smart thing they did is that you get to see the same wilderness area from different angles, in case animals are not visible from one you can look from another. They also like to do mixed species in a single enclosure so there's more to see. I love the cheetahs, the elephants, and the giraffes, but the rhinos with their little bouncing bridge is my nephew's favorite, it seems. The dolphin show is also definitely worth watching.

What a wonderful zoo it’s very clean and there’s so many awesome things to do. The zoo boo was very neat. As well as they have a dolphin interaction and painting with the walrus and many other of the animals. The staff there are all very nice. The dolphin interaction I got to do it was a memory I’ll never forget they give you a big towel and photo to go home with.

Visiting the area we where told to visit the Zoo with our 7 yr old grandson. He really enjoyed it. He loved the snakes and lizards. He also liked the bird aviary. He feed the birds and some even sat on his arm. I liked the orangutans. They were climbing on the outside of the enclosure on towers. It was amazing to see.

This is a great place to take your family or go on a date. What many don't know you can have your wedding or Corp event here. I highly recommend this venue. The staff and centerplate are amazing. I also recommend Lights Out Entertainment for your audio video needs for your event at the Indianapolis zoo

My husband and I went to the Indianapolis Zoo with another couple while visiting the city over the Summer. It is not overwhelmingly huge but is still a good size with lots of animals to see. We also made it in time for the Dolphin Show which was actually one of the better ones I have seen. The park was not very crowded when we went on Sunday. We also paid $3 a person to ride the skylift that goes over the top of the park. The line was a bit of a wait (almost half an hour) but the breeze once we got up there felt nice and there were some alright views (mostly tops of buildings though). You can walk the entire park in a few hours and there is a water area for kids to play. The only thing we missed was the Butterfly exhibit which closes earlier than the rest of the park and is located outside of the main entrance. We were so sad we missed it, so make sure you go do that first! Overall, super fun way to spend a day.

I love animals and the zoo has got everything to see. My Grandbabies loved going and seeing the animals. The staff are also very friendly and knowledgeable about the zoo animals and their habitat. We loved it so much that we bought a yearly membership..And don't forget the great gift shop. So much to pick from. The zoo isn't just for the children, my husband and I enjoyed it just as much as the kids did. There's always something new at the zoo.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What an amazing zoo!
Is it expensive? Yes but totally worth it!
And when you see how well the animals are taken care of and how beautiful the zoo is, it's fabulous!
Lots of walking, wear good shoes and comfy clothes, but plenty of benches along the way for a break.
They animal enclosures are so great and the zoo itself is so clean and gorgeous. So many awesome animals to see. Dolphin show was one of the best ever! Loved the lions and elephants. Walruses and orangutans super cool too. Definitely a must go to zoo!

Really made improvements. Me and my wife are Zoo people. Been to zoos all over the country. Quite going to Indianapolis zoo as it was too depressing. Got a membership from my parents, and had to go. They really improved. The new orangutan center I think will be a leader in the country. They really made good changed.

Nice setting at downtown area. Good parking. Nice gardens. Small collection of animals, well kept. Some rides. Food not so great.Friendly staff. Full day of fun for reasonable price.

Great zoo nice park and splash pad (summer). Love the way the park flows and always plenty of animals to see. We get a family membership every year and it is SO worth it! Halloween is fun too and the kids can go trick or treating a little. Always a fun place.

One of my favorite zoos. This place offers a fantastic variety of animals, shows, events, demonstrations, rides, and even a water park. It's a perfect place to take a stroll whether you are taking your kids, your spouse, your friend's, or even if you just want a quiet stroll alone. I can't recommend it enough.
