This place is perfect to come relax, private baths are great, but limited to an hour. I prefer the caves, 3 soaking pools, concrete/ tile benches to relax on in and outside of the caves, showers, cedar lounge benches in locker room to cool down on. Worth every minute soaking in the pools, or sweating in the vapor. I leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, revitalized, and have the deepest sleep. Treat yourself, you won't regret it.

Just as the Google description saysthis "unfussy resort" was perfect for us. Very clean and comfortable, and the staff was awesome! The indoor hot springs pool was serene, tranquil and relaxing -- met our expectations and then some. And the baths and caves were an experience we will never forget. :-)

Came for the private hot tub. It was nice. Wished they could drain and refill after each quest so chlorine would not be needed. I have been to another hot spring where they were able to do this. Overall a nice relaxing experience and staff was very friendly.

Indian Hot Springs is very unique. It is all indoors with palm trees and other foliage growing around it. Roof panels allow light in to keep the plants growing nicely.
It is quite old so do not expect things to be in perfect condition, but seems to be well maintained.
We stayed in the lodge. Nice room and good king size bed.
Online booking was not working well at the time.
Booked our room in person. They were very busy at the time. Other than that service was very good.
Price was very reasonable. Comparable to other lodging in the are that did not have a pool.
This was our second visit and we will probably be back.response / report this review -

Did not stay but came for the hot springs pool. It was $20 per person and I recommend you bring towels and water as those are extra costs. Lockers are also extra so bring a duffle bag to pack your stuff to take to the pool. Showers are provided and a souvenir shop as well. Worth the visit. The place does seem dated.

The hot springs are a wonderful way to relax and take the stress out of life for a day. I've never stayed in the lodges, but the caves are always getting better, and new seating/lounge areas make it easier to stretch your visit by giving you a good spot to recline, cool off, and rehydrate. Highly recommend going if you're considering a trip to Idaho Springs, or want to go to a hot spring in general

The building is over 100 years old, and you can definitely tell in some places! That being said, it was an enjoyable experience. Definitely get the hot spring caves and pool combo packagethe caves are stiflingly hot, and it is difficult to soak for more than about 10 minutes without coming out to the cool room to catch your breathbut man do they feel great! The pool, however is a great place to hang out. It was 97 degrees in the water, about 65 in the enclosure, and 30 outside. There was a lovely layer of steam over the water and the atmosphere was only made better by the banana palms, bird of paradise, and bromeliads surrounding the pool. There was music and a poolside bar (didn't order anything). Definitely a different experience than outdoor hot springs!

I just want to say to the lady who saw people stuffing a person into the trunk of a car: you should have called the police. I don't understand why you're trying to place the blame on this establishment. If I saw a scene like that, I would have called 911! If anything happened to that girl, it's every bit as much on you as it is the staff here.
Anyways - Indian Springs is great. I come in here frequently. If you're looking for the pampered, resort experience, drive a little further, you won't find that here. What you will find is a place to relax and soak that is relatively close to Denver.
I've been in probably close to 50 times over the past five years, and never once has the staff been rude to me. So I don't know what all the comments are about the staff - I've never experienced anything like that.response / report this review -

Two nights ago (Sunday night), I came up to soak in the main pool with a friend just to unwind and prepare for the start of the week. While we were soaking in the pool, there was a group of girls (probably early 20s) that I didn't really notice until one of the girls started dry-heaving in the corner by the ferns. There were three girls propping her up, and when she was dry-heaving they put her in the pool and floated her around and it honestly looked like they were molesting her. It was horrific. I looked at the security guard (blonde lady, short hair, tattoos) who went over to address what was happening and the girls told her not to worry about it, so she let them be. In the mean time, an unconscious girl was floating around in a pool with 3 other girls who were laughing at her and propping her up and letting her float around. Eventually, they got out of the pool and CARRIED the unconscious girl to the changing room (still, nothing being done to address it). My friend and I decided to leave after this, as it was a very bad vibe, and when we went to the dressing room the girls had taken this girl's clothes off (still unconscious), took some pictures with her, laughed at her, and then eventually put her other clothes on. In the meantime, a lady working at Indian came down to ask the girls if she should call an ambulance (obviously, she should!) and the girls said "no miss, she wasn't swimming, we just need to get her to the car." At this point, I told they lady "yes the girl had been in the pool for quite a while" and she ran up the stairs - I assumed she would be calling 911, but when my friend and I went to leave, she had NOT called 911 and the girls were in the parking lot PUTTING the girl in the TRUNK OF THEIR CAR. My friend and I were scared, and we ran to her car, and when we were driving away, called the front desk at Indian to ensure they'd called 911. The lady I'd spoken to said the security staff was on detail watching what was happening and that everything was handled. However, the security staff was on the down slope across from the river smoking cigarettes - they did not see the incident in the parking lot at ALL. I'm filing an official complaint, as I think this should be on record, and I'd assumed Indian had done their due diligence. However, when my boyfriend called to speak with them today to follow-up, the manager explained that she had not heard of an incident like this and that because we signed a waiver they're not responsible for it. I was SEETHING. Indian should be VERY ashamed of themselves and how they handled this situation. I'm still worried about the safety of the girl, and I'm so sad to think that I trusted that it was being handled and could have done something more, but I felt like my safety was threatened, as well. It's horrific. I'm traumatized from it and I don't see Indian making any changes to improve the safety of their patrons in situations like this. he incident happened on the evening of Sunday, November 12.The visit I had to Indian hot springs prior to this, I was in the changing room and the male security guard walked in to leave a sign and walked out - I WAS NAKED. I felt disturbed but not enough to comment, as it 'could have just been an accident' - however, after this incident with those girls, I think this place is shady as hell. This was the same security guard who was smoking cigarettes when he was supposed to be watching for the safety of that girl getting stuffed into the trunk of that car. Sad and terrifying.

This is reviewing the men's hot spring cave experience.
Indian Hot Springs is located in the very small, quaint, somewhat untouched, downtown area of Idaho Springs - an old Colorado gold rush town.
The Hot Springs are spartan in amenities and affordable. Three small pools of different temperature are available in the cave area (one of which only seats two). You can wear swim trunks or go nude, but you must shower before you soak. Token lockers and cubbies are available in the changing room. Three large wooden pallets, fitting two men each, are available for lying down and cooling off between soaks.
The atmosphere was calm and respectful when I was there (a weekday late afternoon). I've been told it can get very noisy and busy around ski season, which probably means not as clean or enjoyable with guys talking non-stop. It's a cave and sound echoes!! While I was there, a man came in once every 20 minutes or so with gloves to pick up trash and check on the state of things.
While it has its own kind of funky vibe, I had a good experience and would go back in the future.response / report this review -

They recently upgraded their facility, the women's changing room now has lovely wooden benches and glass shower doors, the warm swimming pool is a Colorado tropical healing oasis. It's always been simple, funky, salt of the earth family culture here and I love that its so close to Boulder and Denver, staff super friendly too! I left feeling relaxed and recharged!

Absolutely must go!! This a wonderful place with a hot mineral spring bath for everyone! Couples and families can have a 1 hour at a time private bath indoor or out. The staff are super friendly and all smiles and will do their best to make you as happy as they can! I love it here and I'm already planning my return trip!

Located in a very cozy spot, nested between mountains, trees, flowers on a lovely little back road in Idaho Springs.
They have lodging, motel style rooms as well as private cabins, 3 hot tubs which you must reserve upon arrival to use for one hour, and are fenced with a gate for privacy. Gender seperated steam, water caves where swimsuits are optional. Mud room for a detoxifying experience. And a very pleasant mineral pool that isn't hot, but very pleasantly warm and refreshing. May seem like just an ordinary pool but that water is amazing. Main pool usually has a large amount of people though everyone is respectful as to share the space. Main mineral pool has a beautiful indoor atmosphere with a giant fig tree, flowers, and ferns surrounding it.
Some other options, as far as what you can get into, are available, but all that I described is from my visit experience.
Not cheap, but still reasonably priced. Myself and three others went, and for all four of us to do an hour of hot tub, unlimited mineral pool access, and mud room was about $190. You get wrist bands depending on what access you want and what you're doing which means you pay once and can come and go as you please if you're here for a day.
Overall, could definitely and easily spend a day here, and it was and would be a lovely, relaxing experience. Highly recommend it.response / report this review -

New management as of maybe 18 months ago. Very effective.
The pool itself is much cleaner. The foliage has been trimmed back, staff actually patrol through the area picking up debris and enforcing behavior codes - food is banned from the pool area, as is alcohol. This all results in the water looking like a pool run by professionals.
It's also hotter, so there's that.
There have been upgrades all over. This is a historic site, so some of the facilities (showers and so on) have been pretty primitive, but many of the amenities are on the upswing.
This is a great place to go for a hot, relaxing soak, with some nice extras available. One thing that I always appreciate is the international quality of the clientele. Yesterday I floated in the water with people from Israel, Turkey, Nairobi, China, and a couple of countries who languages I didn't recognize.response / report this review -

My favorite hot springs! I've visited at least 10+ times now and it is always the perfect body relaxation treatment. The one time I stayed in the rooms it was basic, but just enough to sleep since most of the time was spent in the springs. The massage with a required dip in the hot waters is what really keeps me coming back! It softens the tissues and treats any body ache. I 💚 Indian Hot Springs!

Great price for what you get. With the week day special this is a great deal. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The hot springs it's self is nice but a little lacking. The tropical atmosphere is a nice touch with out being touristy. The steam caves are the big draw.

Very pricey for what you get. I will start with saying bring your own towel(s) we were first informed that for $3/ person we could exchange our wet towels for new ones throughout the day (being that we had a couples massage with the public hot spring pool option & mud room) only to be later informed by another rude employee that was not the case and we needed to pay $3 each time we wanted a dry towel. Following that the 'mudroom' was not worth it and quiet frankly pretty disgusting public hot springs were crowded. Overall I'd say the massage was the only part i was actually impressed with. I will end with saying remember to bring your own towels! Your welcome.

Pam and Tara are the best!! We had a couples massage, he is a carpenter by trade, and I am a chef in fine dining. Pam knew exactly how to remedy his muscle soreness and Tara perfectly relaxed my kitchen stress and tension. As far as rooms; it's not a Marriott, it has historical character, and ambiance! It's walking distance to breweries, and great food! No complaints here at all

Great little get away with friendly staff! The rooms are not like the Hilton but very cozy and clean. The hot springs caves does not disappoint-very cool place or should say HOT! Looking forward to visiting again. Loved the downtown shopping too! Everything from homemade ice cream to thrift shops.
