This hotel features very large rooms and suites, It has an atmosphere of luxury from the past, but updated to remain fresh and new. The continental breakfast is nothing to get excited about but there is a donut shop next door

I really had a great experience with this hotel. My rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and staff was very friendly and helpful. I haven't found anything up to this point that I feel the need to complain about. Its been an all around great experience.

An icon of Lakeland. Although in need of an update, you will feel at home at the Swan. The onsite bar is a great place to meet locals. The rooms are spacious the associates warm and kind.

The worst hotel stay I've ever experienced! The hotel is rundown, smells, has mold and needs to be renovated.
The worst part is that they lack in customer service. They made a huge mistake placing my husband and I in the incorrect executive suite after our wedding. Calling and waking us at 6:45am to tell us we had to move because a VIP was coming in, asking if we ate snacks?! Wait. What?! This smelly dump was reserved as a surprise so I certainly wouldn't have known what was or wasn't for us. The clerk made it seem as if we knew those Dollar Store snacks weren't for us.
They didn't offer a solution, they asked what we wanted them to do.
1. What we wanted you to do is not wake us up at 7am or at least wait to call when the 'VIP' actually arrived.
2. What we wanted you to do is accept your mistake and relocate your "VIP".
3. What we wanted you to do is acknowledge our union with a simple congratulations.
Instead we stood in the lobby, confused, frustrated, TIRED and displaced while holding my wedding dress in hand, listening to the clerk explain their mistake which made no sense. After deciding to stay (at no charge), we had to WAIT for another room. Which also didn't make sense, especially when they were calling to ask about eating snacks and asking when we'd be out. 😲
Imperial Swan Hotel's main focus is their VIP'S (Detroit Tigers) players. Not tax paying, productive members of society.
This hotel is sadly mistaken not to understand --- everyone who is a paying customer is a VIP.
I would NEVER refer or recommend anyone stay here. Spend your money at a place who knows the value of people, not just those with a little more money or a title.
You NEVER know who will help you in the end. Anyone who rated this place higher than a 0 or 1 has NEVER been to a real hotel with exemplary service.
The Manager acted as if she could care less. Looked as if she just rolled out of bed to come into work. I'm not quite sure where the concierge service is, however it is not at Imperial Swan. Hence the reason you aren't a 5 star hotel.
YOU ruined our first night together, but we'll laugh at YOUR ridiculousness in the future.response / report this review -

Absolutely shocking hotel, we arrived late and given a room where the bedroom was totally soaked, carpets were so wet, bathroom floor wet where I slipped and now looking at a possible legal claim since this hotel do not respond to any emails or pone calls. STAY AWAY..

Nice rooms with a/c that kept us cool while our power was out after hurricane Irma. The small refrigerator in the room had leaked on the carpet, so there was a wet spot. The water was hot. The mattresses were not very supportive. But we got a decent price on the stay. Very nice staff.

I really like the Imperial Swan. My previous reviews have been complementary. However, each one had something. This time there is more. The AC sounded like a freight train when it kicked on. I lived near railroad tracks when I was young, but my wife was belligerent. Also, there was a bottle of cognac(empty) behind the toilet. So obvious is was not cleaned there. No big deal, but where else was it not cleaned. Downgraded from 4 to 3 stars.

Attended a HOA meeting at the hotel. The meeting room was on the 7th. It was nicely decorated. Staff in the lobby helpfully directed members where to go.

Children's Home Society held their annual fundraising luncheon here. Food was very good. Staff was wonderful. They attended to everything we at CHS needed. Luncheon went off without a hitch. And we raised more money than last year. All in all a success. The Swan weighed heavily in that success.

To begin with they messed up my reservation. I reserved a king suite a month ago. When my wife got there the room they gave us wasn't a suite. They offered no apology but finally after I made an issue about it they gave me the right room. Then when my wife had questions about charges on my bill the manager Denise was rude and accused my wife of just wanting to stay in a hotel for free. And maybe next time she should stay somewhere else. And then hung up.Then I went back to the front desk and I requested the contact info for their corporate office or info for someone above her Denise let me know they didn't have a corporate office only a private owner and they can't contact them. We were shocked by the whole exchange we will never go back or recommend that hotel.

Got the king jacuzzi suit. The tub had a hole in it 3 out of 6 jets were broke and the hot water handle was broke off you had to try and twist the screw. Hot up to potty in the middle of a night and a cocktail roach ran across the bed and another up the wall in the bath room. Bed was comfy for the most part. This place is a good bit out dated, and looks shabby. Dirt on walls dust on the floral decorations and stuff in the room. Loads of mildew on the tiles. By far not worth the $119 that they charged for the room. They have a breakfast bar, it has 4 types of cereal, cinnamon muffins, bagles, juice and coffee. Though the milk was out, front desk said it would be 2 days before shipment came in. Over all just not up to participate and not worth the price.
