Fabulous Views from this lookout. We had stopped here during bad weather and could not see very far, but made a point to return on outbound trip on a clear day and it was fantastic. Highly recommended for the views offered here. Added bonus would be here when they are hand-gliding off the ramp into the valley below!!! Put this on your list to do when visiting the PA Wilds.

I've been going here since I was little, and I just recently went alone for the first time. It was foggy, but still beautiful. Amazing views and serene.

Such a cool place to watch hang gliders! Lengthy road that's almost impassable but we managed!

Great park with amazing views of the valley below and the horizon across the mountains. Free to access, public restrooms were very clean. Road up to park can be a little tricky, go slow and carefully! Its a tight, twisty road that is not very wide yet two way traffic(up and down) Well worth a stop here when in the area.

This place is awesome. The pictures don't do it justice. This is a nice place to have a picnic and spend the day the entrance road is narrow and with lots of sharp curves and steep watch for on comming traffic. Perfect for bikes and small vehicles. Some spots it's tight for a full size truck. I don't recommend trying to pull a trailer up or even drive a large motor home to the top. I don't remember it there are restriction signs at the entrance.

Visited on October 14, 2017 - one of the highlights if visiting central Pennsylvania. On weekends during the spring, summer, and fall, you may see hang gliders take off from just in front of the wall overlook. Warning - scenic but dangerous 2,000 foot climb to summit along a narrow road. Go slow and you won't have any problems. Small unpaved parking lot. Small washrooms onsite but no other amenities. If you need food or gas, go to nearby Renovo first.

View of the valley is picturesque. Ride to the view point is also great especially the fall colours. However no facilities at the spot i.e. proper washrooms, water or food. Johnny on the spot is available but you know it can be sometimes :-(
If you are interested in hand gliding call the state park or check their website for their schedule. I wished they were available when i visitedit would have been a wonderful flight in the valley.

Awesome drive to the view point. Roads are narrow so watch for two way traffic. People come for para gliding aswell which was a spectacle itself ! There are a couple of trails for hiking but the main attraction is the view .

We got there quite early in the day (7:30 am) and the fog was really thick. We took a few minutes to check out the memorials and sat on a bench to wait. It was worth the wait. Watching the fog raise out of the valley was awesome! The sun came out and the veiw was spectacular!

Spectacular view is probably even better than Pennsylvania's "Grand Canyon" near Wellsboro

It's a short drive from Lockhaven up scenic Route 120, a right turn on Hyner Run Rd, then another right on Hyner View. Well worth the trip, the view is awesome!

A great view and a fun time driving up the mountain. There's not a whole lot to do once you get there, but it's a good time nonetheless.
