Great locationclose to Ocean St. and the beach.
On the first day we went to the beach, and when we got back to our room had not been clean yet. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Spent 2 min. trying to open our door to the room.

The free shuttle only runs until 9pm. The hotel Shelly building was closed when I arrived there. Was told that the check in counter was across the street at a bar. The bar was sad. Once at the counter there were sketchy looking people. It took me twenty minutes to check in and there was only one person in front of me. Got the room key. Was told that my room was not in the hotel Shelly building, but rather on the bar lounge building. The room didn't look like the one I booked on Expedia. The room they gave me was on the first floor (same floor as the bar) so the music kept playing all night long and you could hear every single person talking at the bar from my room.

BE CAREFUL when u get there they will ask u to provide your credit card for security deposit but they will not tell u about "resort fee" you will see extra charge on your credit card couple days after your stay!

You will not sleep there because every thing dirty and smells garbage.
    DO NOT go there

This hotel, Hotel Shelley, was a great bargain. It is in the heart of the art deco neighborhood in South Beach Miami. It was clean comfortable and a great location. I would recommend it to anyone who wants the above. Now what it does not have are the amenities. It doesn't serve breakfast nor do you have a concierge in the building. You have to walk across the street to the Chesterfield Hotel to get your towels for the beach. In a disrespect to be an expensive trip from me and it was. You are two blocks from the beach several nice cafe restaurants near you and if you're looking for shopping there are several shops on Collins Avenue as well. You are about 10 11 blocks from Lincoln Road if that is more your style. They do charge $100 security deposit the day after I left it was responded to me so I have no problems at all. When I return to South Beach, I will be looking at hotel Shelley again and hopefully we'll get it again at a bargain price.

It's a decent place. This area is full of young partiers and so is the hotel. People tend to be loud late into the night. It's an exciting experience but if you want calm and wuiet this is not for you. A public pay parking deck is 1-1/2 blocks away. Lots of hip, trendy restaurants. The beach is about 1 block away. There are no desk, microwave or chairs in the room. The refrig is fully stocked with chargeable items - no room for your items. There is a small flat screen on the wall.

Horrible place. Whole room stinks like sewage. No ventilation, no windows. Bathroom sucked, water pressure sucks. Toilet didnt flush, shower had no pressure, it was like waiting at the well for water. Room was super tiny, online pics are DECEIVING. Housekeeping was rude. Front desk was rude and careless and didnt even respond at times. Except for one guy who helped us a lot with towels and toilet paper. Oh and there was no ice machine!! You have to leave the building and go across the street to use Chesterfield ice machine.

Ana runs the place well. Great location, atmosphere, and the room was ready with the ac pumping. Great value with a free happy hour for those that want to socialize. Only concern was a faint odor in the bathroom of lemon and vomit

The location was perfect. Everything was in walking distance. Staff was friendly. Pretty hotel. The only thing is we had a roach in our room one night. We called the desk and they took care of it right away. Also, they would only clean our room if we asked for it.
