I love this hotel. Great place to stay in downtown. Quaint and comfortable. Amazing staff including William the greatest bartender in history, Jonathan at the front desk, and manager (his name will come to me). The breakfast is actually pretty awesome and so are the crab cakes. I'll edit this soon to add more but I didn't want to leave.
This is an old building in need of updating. The walls are thin as you can hear your neighbors tv and other things. The antique water fountain does not work. It is a good location though
Service is really good.
But the hotel is very off dated and the deco is really bright.
Food, is very well made.
Location is good
Service is what saves this place from getting only 2🌟
The rooms were very cute. The hotel is very old! But it had been updated beautifully. They still have one of the original water fountains near the stairwell. The style and layout is very cool. The rooms have all the basics. The rooms are not big, but if you are looking for a place to just sleep, you are good. However, our room had a weird musty smell to it. And my fiancé is 6 foot 6, so the tiny bathrooms were a little interesting. Also, it is just 2 blocks away from some awesome bars and a public parking garage that does overnight parking!
The one star rating is to high for this place. Should be a -5. When you go to a hotel you trust that they are Changing the sheets. Well this place is not! I put my foot on dirty mens underwear that were at the bottom of my sheets in between the top sheet and the fitted sheet. There are no excuses for this. If you cannot handle the business DO NOT OPEN. While in the lobby 2 other rooms were in the lobby complaing about dirty sheets.
Found a man's sock under the TV Stand when we first arrived (great to know the room was cleaned so thoroughly between guests). Also found a pubic hair? Possibly? On the night stand. Oh, and there's free coffee but for some reason the machine only makes espresso or hot water - not actual coffee. Otherwise the place is decorated nicely, the beds are comfy ah but it's valet parking only. So mixed review??? I've seen worse.
I've stayed here many times and will continue to do so! It is a really cool little boutique hotel which also has pet friendly rooms and is in a great location. It has a nice pool area & tons of good restaurants within walking distance which is great for quick little staycation
SUPER CUTE! bartender was wonderful, valet was wonderful and speedy, front desk service was wonderful. Older hotel converted to up to date and modern. The bathrooms are a little small but The shower was spacious. My bed was extremely comfortable The service was great, the atmosphere was great and I was literally a 5 min walk from everything. cute place and would definitely stay again!
Pleasant hotel, with character (in a good way). Friendly staff, great location. Rooms are small, but comfortable. Parking is valet only.
Great location close to downtown shops and restaurants. Super comfortable bed and pillows. They only offer valet parking for $14/day but worth it to have your car safe on site. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.
Staff is friendly and accommodating. They are dog friendly. Everything was tasty and fresh. The decor is so cool and the building has lots of historic info all throughout it.
For a tourist wanting a hotel within walking distance of many downtown scenic sites, this would be a good place. For a business traveler, not so much. I had to ask to get my room turned over, its a noisy area, and the internet access is spotty with many dropped occurrences. I usually would not rate a hotel this low. The fitness center is pretty good with one elliptical, one treadmill, free weights, and a weight machine. Not geared toward the business traveler. (Added a couple of weeks after the stay: I probably was a little harsh originally giving it two stars. So, I have upgraded it to three stars.)
The hotel location is great, in the middle of downtown town St. Pete. Most restaurants and night life is walking distance near hotel. St. Pete is extremely limited on nice affordable hotels. You are either going to pay a pretty penny for something near the beach OR get a two star motel in the city. This is in the middle. The rooms and bathroom are on the small size. But, they are clean (which is most important to me.) I went with my hubby and child and we agreed we would return. The staff is friendly and front desk attendant "Devontae" was fun and super nice.
