We had a nice visit but there was no one there in the middle of the day and the visitors center was closed. We ran in to some people working and they said they would be right with us to explain the site but we never saw them again.
It was interesting to see how a large family lived. The grounds include a visitor center with photos and artifacts, orchard, barn with a mule and ornery cow, and the family home.
The staff were friendly and informative.
Wonderful Place. Friendly staff, fun animals, beautiful homestead, and educational!!
Been here many times. Very enjoyable experience every time I go.
Neat place to spend a few hours with your 3 year old grandkid. Lots of history and critters.
I've been coming here since I was a little girl, and nothing has ever changed! I love the friendly staff and the well maintained historical buildings of long ago. They keep everything neat and in great condition so all different generations can know what it was like to live in the 1800s. The food and entertainment during their festivals is very excellent as well!
