Excellent location! Clean! Friendly staff! Restaurant food tastes great and is high but reasonably priced for location. Save your money and choose this over the local boutique hotels. You’ve got quality and reasonable cost here!
Checking in to this hotel was extremely pleasant. Super engaging staff with excitement for their customers vacation. Cherry, front desk representative, really made me feel like this is my home for the next four days. From offering me a free drink for being an IHG member, providing a complimentary bottle of water, to even lending me a couple small bottles of toothpaste! What a great start to my time in Miami!
I have to travel to Miami monthly for work.
So I decided to change my usual Ft. Lauderdale hotel . location due to the location to Restaurants and night life.
The parking is over priced for the location.
It is across the street and is shared with rental car companies that take up the first 2 floors. No elevator in the parking deck as well. The valet attendants are usually too busy doing something else to service customers. I only seen them at night and are often inside the lobby . If I pay for valet I expect them to be at my car when I pull up.
As far as the room goes it's a average 2 queen room. This is all they had that was on ocean side. The view of the ocean is very far away from rooms that are in the central part of the hotel so they are more pool view then a ocean view.
The rooms are dated decor but clean.
My room had very thin walls and could hear everything coming from the next room and below.
I decided to order room service and was told to call back in 15minutes. When I called back the hostess said they could serve limited appetizers only. It was 715PM at the time of call.
The water in the shower would go from very hot to very cold without adjusting the temperature.
Will not stay at this location again.
The hotel was a nice place to stay at. Great views from the window if you're lucky with your room. All interactions with the hotel employees were perfect and were able to help me out.
Nice, clean hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. I asked for a sunrise view and got one. The batteries in my smoke alarm died, maintenance replaced them right away. If I ever go back to Miami, that's the first hotel I'm calling.
Great service. Friendly staff. Beautiful view from the room we stayed in!! Amazing beach front and a great pool as well. Would love to go back.
Beautiful hotel, beautiful beach. It would've been nice if there was access to a fridge and microwave. Thought the room would've been a little more up to date. A free breakfast should come with all rooms and you should not have to pay for a beach chair and umbrella.
I was not impressed at all. Most hotels at least offer a microwave oven or a small refrigerator where I'm from. Ocean view out of a window. Smoking was only allowed outside which was fine, but when it was raining and I was close to the door I was rudely asked to move. For the price if you don't want your smokers near and entrance please make an area that can be accessed during rain. Overall minor details. The staff were friendly.
Good location. Power was surging really bad while we were there though. Went on and off about 3 or 4 times. 2 of the times we were eating at the hotel. Also need to get your staff on par with one another. We stayed 3 nights. First night we got some type of Rum Punch with our drink cards. The next night we got told at one bar they wouldn't do it, and the bar outside after leaving inside, did. Kind of annoying but, such is life.
Great price for a nice room. Everything was clean and well-kept. We got an ocean front view and the view is spectacular. The only reason I give four stars is they're ridiculously high prices for mediocre drinks and food.
Not a Holiday Inn !
Sure, the name is on the building and reflected in the price, but that's where it ends. Motel 7 or Super 9 at best.
Old, outdated building, cheap plastic accessories, light construction with NO privacy, TV's that barely work.
The one and only advantage is that it is next to the beach.
DECEIVING. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.
The Miami property was NOT up to holiday inn standard. The pics on the site are misleading. The room had no great view, no balcony (according to the description all room has balconies). The room didn't even have the basic things, like a fridge and microwave. All the amenities were closed, except the pool. The Holiday Inn-Oceanfront is the worst hotel I've stayed in. Will not recommend to anyone and almost scared to book at any Holiday Inns.
The room was nice, pool and hot tub too were nice, but restaurant coffee was not great and the air conditioning was on blast even though it wasn't warranted. The view of the beach from the boardwalk is amazing, and beach water super warm. You have to pay for beach chairs and umbrella which I wasn't expecting, but cost was nominal.
As we pulled up to this hotel to book 1 night stay, there were 3 police officers disputing with 2 men in the front of the building to start off. We still however decided to over look that issue and still book a night there. We went to our room and it was dirty, with stuff still left over from the people that stayed there before us. Obviously hadn't been properly fully cleaned prior to us arriving. Terrible nights stay. We got home from our vacation and noticed a charge of an extra $250 for a smoking fee. We never smoked in our room ever!! We weren't even in our room other than to sleep. We didn't want to be in the dirt room in the first place. We tried talking with the hotel about the charge and they were very rude and wouldn't listen to anything we had to say. Needless to say this hotel deserves a 0 rating because ya the worst nights stay we've ever dealt with.
