This hotel is run extremely poorly. My sink would not drain properly over the course of my stay and the common areas are not clean. One of the two elevators smelt like someone had urinated in it for about two days. The room was extremely small (however it's NYC so that is what I expected).
Unfortunately, one of my evenings stay here there was no hot water. I had plans during that evening so I had to take a FREEZING cold shower. Which might be the reason I feel feverish. After I had slept the problem was fixed and i asked to speak to the supervisor or manager (or have him/her call me); I didn't receive any phone calls for the entirety of my stay and if it wasn't for some sort of persistence they would have happily charged me full price for my stay.
They reluctantly offered me an $84 reduction in my room bill. I was in a rush and had to run to the airport so I just agreed with whatever they said. To be honest though, I was extremely disappointed. They have a great location and extremely kind housekeeping ladies which is why I gave them 2 stars.
For a 4 night stay in a room a little over the size of a king size bed it cost upwards of $850USD.
I am seriously considering changing the next 8 days of hotel bookings from IHG because I'm not sure if all of my experiences will be like this.response / report this review -

Standard holiday inn hotel. Nice people, clean and functional rooms. Breakfast had fewer options than other holiday inns though.

Staff was nice and room was fine, however we were located on the first floor. The staff made SO MUCH NOISE around 4 am and didn't stop. We must have been near where they prep for breakfast. It was incredibly hard to sleep. The air conditioner was also a challenge. It would change from too hot to too cold repeatedly.

Great location in Midtown, walking distance from many great sites and dining. Hotel lobby is cramped and the rooms are small. But it still feels like a Holiday Inn. Staff is friendly and took good care of us.

As a trusted hotel chain it's what you expect. this particular hotel is no different.
I found here if there are more than two people sharing you will find the room small, with limited storage.
However, the staff are very good and friendly. It's in a great location within easy access to all the attractions and transportation. Would use the same hotel againresponse / report this review
