Great staff, the restaurant is very good and the rooms are big and clean. A great value.
Worst hotel experience ever.
1. No breakfast
2. No heater!!!! It's almost winter!!! How come heaters are not working??
3. Worn out furnishing
4. No free water
5. Water from the faucet stinks
6. So much highway noise
7. Carpet smells like dogs
8. Unfriendly telephone operators
Stayed here over the Marine Corps Marathon weekend and found management at this hotel to be very unaccomodating and not very helpful at all. Furthermore, while staff was friendly overall, one staff member at the desk was either not very forthcoming (or maybe not knowlegable) RE pertinent information as it pertains to pricing policy and taking correct information. Her manager, an African-American guy, sorry as I did not get his name, later refused to make any allowances for what I believed was their error in providing me with the correct information. Additionally, my room smelled very strongly of smoke even though they have a no-smoking and penalty policy. I probably would have forgiven that - though I did mention it to the manager - but my interaction with the unhelpful manager just aggravated me to reach a determination of very poor customer service. I will not be staying there, and maybe not at any Holiday Inn, in the future.
I stayed here overnight three nights for a work orientation. It's in a walkable location in downtown Arlington, VA and a 10-15 minute drive to Washington Reagan Airport. The staff were friendly, courteous, and professional; the hotel restaurant was delicious; and the housekeeping service was superb.
Great hotel location for visiting DC. Walkable to the Metro & reasonable parking rate of $14/day. Hotel room was clean, modern & comfortable & staff throughout were helpful.
I stay in holiday inn hotels at least two weeks a month. This holiday inn is in need of upgrades and check ups. Good staff, but the hotel itself is pretty aged compared to nearby competitors. My room had power and plumbing issues, and seemed more like a motel 6 in overall quality than a Holiday Inn. Good location, close to transit and again - friendly accommodating staff.
The hotel is comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. Would suggest they tell their on line customers about the $14/day parking fee prior to check-in so that customers are aware of all charges prior to booking their reservations. Having access to coffee and microwaves would be a plus as well, but overall it's a nice hotel.
Good food during lunch reception. Rooms were pretty good. Staff interactions good. Lighting wasn't great but it never is!
Decent rooms however beware if you have a room near the lifts as even the vending machine can be quite loud. Also, that room service stops at 10pm, caught me out after some long work hours. Price can be a little erratic but I would stay here again as easy metro distance from all D.C attractions.
Great hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. There are plenty of options to eat nearby within a 15 minute walk. The hotel also has credit card accepting vending machines for those late night cravings.
Great location, just three blocks away from Ballston Metro. The Ballston area has a lot to offer for shopping and dining especially with the new Ballston mall coming up. Restaurant food is slightly pricey but good quality. If you're looking for breakfast options, there are a couple cafes near the metro
As always, this was a very nice stay. I travel for work a few times a year and usually stay at the holiday inn at ballston. The staff is always pleasant. The rooms are quiet, the beds soft (but not too soft), and the stay uneventful Which is exactly what I'm looking for at the end of a long day.
