Manager is very ride and zero customer service. I walked in with a question and the first thing he does is rudely tells me we won't be having you walking around the store with your stroller. Definitely needs new management.

Essentially a west side landmark but particularly fun at Christmas. Beautiful, large selection of glass blown ornaments and Mr. Hixon's original designs. He is often there to personalize ornaments. The rest of the store is an antique, collectables, gift shop. Great to wander through and discover some unique items you've never heard of! It can be a little overwhelming because there is a lot to see all around you in smallish spaces.

I love going there. The building itself is beautiful. I love all the nick nacks and the musty old smell of the place. It is just magnificent there. I go there around every Christmas and get an ornament for my Christmas tree, it's a tradition.

Last week, I was searching for a local florist on-line to order an arrangement for a friend's funeral service. Having been away from Lakewood for the last 35 years, I'd forgotten about Hixon's. Luckily, my sister did not and placed a call. The stunning arrangement far exceeded our expectations. The flowers were beautiful and fresh and the artistry was nothing short of breath-taking. I come here for flowers, though the selection is small the flowers are absolutely perfect and gorgeous. Price is excellent as well. The rest of the store is just fun to get lost in.
