People were friendly and the salon was clean.
I got my ends trimmed so not really much to say other that it was a nice experience and I didn't have any issues and left as a satisfied customer.

I retired from the Army in 2017. Since then, I have been trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my hair. Two years ago, I decided to grow it l long. I knew a military barber wouldn't do for what I wanted. After doing some research, I chose Shear Style Salon.

I selected Sam as my stylist when I scheduled my appointment. During my first appointment, she took the time to figure out what the end goal was. She analyzed my hair, determined what direction it naturally wanted to lay and gave me tips on how to train it to achieve my end goal.

Unfortunately, after a few sessions, I hit the awkward stage that she had warned about. I gave up and went back to the military cut. until COVID hit. The closure of barber shops for an extended period of time got me to reconsider growing my hair out to shoulder length or longer.

After the barber shops opened back up, I decided I would give the longer hair a chance again. However, I was still uncertain so I went to some cheapo places every few months to get a trim while I considered what I wanted to do. Now, my hair has passed the worst of the initial awkward stage that caused me to go back to the military cut. I again decided to grow it long. I went back to see Sam. She remembered me from just a few visits that were two years ago.

This time, my end goal is a little different. She again took the time to learn my new needs and gave me tips and tricks to help me get to my goal. She showed me different daily styling techniques that will help me as I continue to work past the varying levels of the awkward stages. She gave hair care tool tips, product tips, styling tips and adjusted what she was planning on doing during the cutting process so she could give me those tool, product, and styling tips.

If you get a chance, and she isn't booked up, go see her. You will be glad you did.

Love getting my hair done by Jonathan. But now with the masking requirements it is too warm in the salon. Please turn the air conditioner down. Remember your clients are under a cape and sitting on vinyl chairs. And blow drying your hair even adds more heat. Love, love the salon. Just need to make it cooler in there. Even just sitting in the waiting area I was warm.

Wonderful salon for cut and color with Diana! When I was new in the area and looking for someone I could trust to do a great job with color, a friend recommended Diana to me. She is personable and professional. I've been a regular client for over a year now and have always had a great experience. Her attention to detail and attentiveness to her client is flawless.

I've been going here 2 years. I'd say I'm happy with it about half the time. Over time the price has gone up for a hair cut. The color sometimes is perfect but more often not because the consultation part doesn't happen if you're a repeat customer. Also the scalp massage gets shorter and shorter. On my most recent and last visit my stylist brought her daughter to the salon. The daughter then proceeded to stop by the chair repeatedly and by the end just sat on the chair at the station next to me. This made me really uncomfortable because I was very unhappy with the much darker color and I felt awkward about expressing with Sam the stylist with the daughter starting at me. It's just unprofessional.

I have been going to Shear Style and Salon for almost six years now and have had my hair highlighted (both cool and warm), colored (blonde to brunette), balayage, fixed from other salons and cut. I have tried about everything with my hair and have seen almost all of the stylists including; Bobbie, Diana, Ivonne (who is one of my favorites :), Scott (the owner who is an amazing stylist and person) and now Kathy (who has an eye for detail). Each stylist has done a wonderful job with my hair and I have never left the salon feeling disappointed. I am always overly impressed with how my hair looks and feels after getting my hair done. If not the stylists, the atmosphere and spaciousness of the salon always makes me feel pampered. After years of going there I have to say that Shear Style and Salon never cut corners they only cut hair :)

This is a great salon. Especially when things go right. And Lauren is a talented stylist. Even when the outcome of the service she provides isn’t what you described. Nor what you wanted. Nor what you thought you would pay for.

This was my latest experience with this salon. And this is how things unfolded when I brought the matter to their attention:

They were reasonable. They graciously offered me a second appointment. Another chance to come back to get the other half of the treatment they started. A complete service I never intended to obtain.

But that appointment never happened. I received a call from my stylist 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment stating she was behind and wouldn’t have the time to do what I want. I very much appreciated this last minute cancellation. For my sake. And I understand they did that for me. And they just wanted to make me happy.

So again, they took care of me. They graciously offered yet a third appointment. I could not have been more appreciative. They provided me the opportunity to clear my schedule one more time. To come in and receive and pay full price for the other half of the service I never asked for.

But let’s not get hysterical, this is only hair. And maybe a little of my time. And just a small portion of my money. And who doesn’t have three days and $80.00 to squander.

I recommend everyone visit Shear Style Salon. You just can’t get service like this anywhere. They are the exception. All the staff here are amazingly sweet and zen like. Because angelic is easy to be when you have no awareness of your error. Are unconcerned with your level of performance. And have no intention of taking responsibility for your mistakes.

The receptionist greeted me right away and was pleasant. I have not been happy with my hair in over 3 years until I got a cut at Shear Style and Salon by Lauren. What a great experience! Lauren listened to my concerns and made it happen. She is super friendly, professional, and talented. I highly recommend her.

Lauren is an Excellent hair stylist! She is the first stylist that I have ever gone to that has done EXACTLY what I want! Never cuts my hair to much and always goes above and beyond with my colors! I highly recommend this salon! Pricey but worth every penny!

I started going here because of the great reviews I saw and thought I would pass on my review. Becca and Lauren are wonderful. Becca cuts my hair regularly and Lauren did a balayage tonight. My hair was damaged 9 months ago and these two ladies have made me a new woman. Highly recommend both of them.

Shear Style is my top pick for an amazing cut by friendly and professional stylists. I always feel well taken care of from start to finish. While I've only ever had my hair cut here, they do seem to offer a longer list of services including spa and nail treatments.

Shear Style Salon and Spa has been my salon of choice since the day it opened. I've been a very happy client of Scott's for nearly 12 years. Scott is simply the best stylist on the peninsula. His cutting, styling and coloring techniques are impeccable. I've had the pleasure of watching all of the stylists' creations for many years and they are always top-notch, no matter what the occasion. I would trust any one of them. The atmosphere of the salon and the spa is relaxing and all of the staff are professional and go out of their way to accommodate you. Skill, style, courtesy and class are what you can expect at Shear Style Salon and Spa.

Hands down would recommend this place to any one! Not only are the staff super friendly but they cater to both men and women!

I also would highly recommended Mercedes her makeup skills are amazing and she does amazing manicures!
