I traveled with my two elder parents, my dad being handicapped. We arrived at MIA late at night. We waited over an hour to be picked up by the Hilton’s shuttle. The first arrived after a 25-30 min wait, the driver proceeded to load up 4-5 passengers. While I was helping my dad stand up from his wheelchair and get on the shuttle he told us he didn’t have enough seats and we’d have to wait for the next one in 15 min. Twenty minutes later I called the hotel to ask where the shuttle was, I provided our location, informed them I was with a disabled person, and was told it was minutes away. Another 15 min went by and I placed another call, this time I was put on hold until the call disconnected. We made it to the hotel around 1 AM. I complained at the lobby and was told a manager would be contacting me in the morning. It’s been two days and I have yet to hear from a manager. I placed an online complaint with the Hilton’s Guest Assistance Office, I was asked to provide name on the reservation, confirmation #, etc. Again, I haven’t hear from them ever since.
Upon arrival to our room, I found a set of headphones under the sheets, which I wonder if they were ever changed after the previous occupants left. We woke up at 7:30 AM to the sound of doors slamming and people chatting in the hallway. We decided to get up and try to take a nap later. Forget about it, the cleaning staff made it impossible; they went from room to room cleaning, singing, yelling at each other and even cursing at one point. Needles to say, we checked out at 4 PM (although our reservation was for 2 nights).
This is not the type of customer service you expect to receive at a Hilton hotel. There are plenty of cheaper hotels available and if this had happened to us in one of them I would have said “you get what you pay for”, but I paid for a Hilton and received a Motel 6. I don’t expect special treatment (and I can overlook the issues in the room), but my parents should have been in that shuttle. Everywhere else people with disabilities are given priority and accommodations are made; this is clearly not the case at the Hilton Miami Airport.
Hotel was a bit old but room was nice and clean. There were not a lot of food options nearby. A lot of guests were staying overnight and leave for cruise port the next day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Coral Cafe-food was alright but a little bit on the pricey side.
Worst Hilton experience ever. Had to move three rooms before getting settled due to non functional plumbing, phone did not work and light switches did not turn on lights. All of the glass in the hotel is caked with grime, really makes it feel dirty. Almost like the property is not actually managed by the Hilton. Definitely not up to Hilton standards. Honors continental breakfast coupons only good for cold items, if you want hot, you have to pay $5 more.
Rooms are clean and well maintained. Location is great. Airport shuttle helps. Although, the shared cab takes a while to reach, its the issue with location not the property. Service is nice, breakfast need to have more options. Only vegetarian option is salad for breakfast.
I stayed at this hotel after Hurricane Irma came through the state. The employees at this hotel were very accommodating and patient with every guest. The hotel has great amenities and a great location sitting right on the lagoon
Staff not helpfull,Room smelled damp, carpets dirty.
The furniture old and worn looking.
Needs a lot of work does not resemble a Hilton property.
Very nice hotel. Little pricey though. I wasn't her thrilled that guests had to pay 19 dollars per day to park at a hotel that we are already paying a premium for. Otherwise great stay!
Nice hotel. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Would recommend this hotel. Just wish there was a complimentary breakfast.
I must give credit to Amil. He was professional and compassionate concerning my situation. It was my first time in Miami not by choice because my flight was delayed, and I unfortunately missed my connecting flight to Nashville. He made all the arrangements for me to be comfortable and since it was my first time there he looked for a room with a view so that i can at least see part of Miami. I had a great experience in this hotel.
Stay was good but not great. Pool is not clean and room keys doesn't work. Had to keep going back to the front desk to replace it. Also, don't forget to take your photo ID or they won't give you the new key. I was generous to give them 4 stars
Attended for a social event in the ballroom. Wait staff was very nice, though they did stop showing my side of the room love as the night progressed. Bar service left a little to be desired. Sat at a bar for 5-7 minutes (at a time when it wasn't particularly crowded) before I was even acknowleded. Too long to wait to spend $15 on a cocktail if you ask me. No valet parking that I saw either, but I did get a validation ticket for a discounted rate.
Got in about 1900 gotta get up for a 0600 go. Walked into this wonderful place and asked for a room a. Man can get some serious shuteye. The gal at the counter signs me up with a king bed suite on the 9th. Floor. My Lord room service was great , watched the tube for a couple hours next thing I new o400 rolls around and boom I'm airborne at 0600. Fantastic.
I really liked everything in this hotel. The rooms were very clean and we'll kept. My favorite thing was the breakfast. They have an economical and delicious buffet style breakfast.
For an airport hotel, nice pool area. However they don't seem that organized.
We showed up at 1 pm for a res for two rooms. We were told that rooms not available until 3 pm.Then we were lucky enough to get one room at 245 pm.The other room which had been up sold as a suite was ready at 345 pm.We went to the room and found about 500 insects on the ceiling.????????
I then called front desk downstairs and was informed that no more mini suites would be ready for awhile. So we downgraded and were given a regular King room at 420 pm.
The staff was sort of polite ,but no one offered any type of compensation for the lost afternoon.
I stay at about 120 hotels a year, I have not seen such a disorganized hotel for a while. There were about 20 customers all sitting in lobby waiting for a room.
In the future I would suggest just skipping this hotel.
