Top floor. Great views. Hotel room needs better maintenance. There was a roof leak in the hall. There was clearly history of water damage in our hotel room. Our room was missing a trash can and hair dryer. Not a big deal but hotels of this caliber should probably try harder

    My wife and I stayed here last month for our 1 year anniversary. Being as it was the winter it was nowhere near as busy as it normally is and we had a nice time overall but there were pros and cons ;

    Pros:
    1. The rooms are okay ; clean and secure which is all we really needed. They also upgraded us to a room with an ocean view
    2. The restaurant staff in both Blue and The Cafe were great and the food was good though pricey(it's Hilton Head so no surprise)
    3. Beach access was great

    Cons:
    1. The pillows are terrible. Lumpy masses with no support for your neck or head. Those should be replaced
    2. The vending machines were sold out on 3 of the floors and the top floor vending machine sold expired soda. No reason these should not be stocked with product. None of the ice machines had ice in them either which is totally unacceptable
    3. Pay cash whenever you can in the gift shop, DO NOT us a debit or credit card. The young girl working the register added an extra $2.75 on top of a $13.00 purchase because apparently she thought she deserved a tip for ringing up 6 items?

All in all an okay experience but we will be staying elsewhere on our next vist

This resort is really nice. It’s great for the family and the location is extremely convenient. The room was clean but didn’t have a ton of space. It was nice, however, to have been upgraded for free to an ocean view room. The resturant on-site is pretty good as are the resturant we in the area surrounding. I’d stay here again.

Location wise, the resort is beautiful. However, the hotel needs to be upgraded and better maintenance. The AC was not working in the rooms or in alot of the hotel and the water at times was either off or had no pressure, making it drip out.

This hotel by far is the most disappointing Marriott that I have ever stayed in.

Somewhat nice resort; however, we had three side by side rooms booked. We checked in, noticed it was a little warm, but sometimes they don't turn the air down for you so we all turned out temps down a little and went out to dinner. We returned only to find out all of our rooms were still warm! One of us called down to inform them of this, and a lady from the front desk told us that the air was out all over the hotel and it should be on by tonight We went bowling came back and guess what STILL NO AIR. I decided to take a cool shower to cool off, get in the shower and guess what, THE TUB WAS FILLING UP WITH WATER, why? Because the tub was not draining properly. I called down to the front desk, maybe around midnight or later and they said someone would come the next day. The next day came and it was night time again, I went to shower. Still no draining happening. I decided to shower in my brother's room since his room was next door. Overall a bad experience. Too much money was spent only to have hot rooms and unresolved issues. I probably won't be returning due to the less than customer service! I will say Alexander, one of the managers (I think that's his name) was excellent during our check in process ! Wish he was there when we checked out!

Don't go stay here with expectations of what you would expect from most Marriott hotels. It's not luxurious, in need of a lot of renovations and improvements. The rooms are a bit underwhelming, the balcony had water sitting on it with green algae growing in it that I stepped into before realizing it was there, the elevator panels are loose and the hallways look a but frumpy. We spent the first night with no ac and were not notified that a breaker had broken and was being fixed. That would have been helpful to know. We weren't impressed and it did not live up to the photos online. The beach access was wonderful and the pool area is very nice, but they need to spend money on updating the exterior, the elevators and the interior hallways and some areas of the rooms. This is an honest review.

This was the best experience I have ever had. The staff was very courteous . Marriott is a beautiful upscale place to visit. Super clean , just a step away to the beach. I will definitely be revisiting and will recommend this place to everyone . We were very pleased. I would strongly recommend an ocean-view balcony for a overwhelming experience.

Beautiful location- didn't have room we booked - $50 compensation for 5 nights in wrong room just plain poor. Entire hotel no A/C - miserable x 1 night. No communication from management on situation. Up at3 am with others in lobby only to find out it was whole hotel. Promised phone call from management never came. Common areas - hallways and lobby and restaurants poorly A/c- entire 5 days. Staff all smiley with no answers. Could have been a 5 star visit.

Easy parking or valet. We had to wait a few hours for our room to be ready. Had a Jr. Suite that was two rooms with a bath and a half. Room was clean and nice with two full balconies, but not much of a view. The beach access is wonderful! Pool bar is easy to navigate to and friendly staff. Pool bathroom is only two stalls and seems limited when all the families are at the pool. Overall I enjoyed our short stay here. After reading other comments I worried that the price was a reflection of the property. We are platimun elite with Marriott and always are taken care of so I am glad we stayed and will bring our small kids back on our next trip. The comments could be true for others, but our stay was great. I would recommend it from our recent experience.

All employees were cheery, helpful, and hard-working. The hotel is right on the beach(sand), yet rooms and hallways were immaculate. There is a restaurant and bar on-site with fair prices considering it is a resort. Nearby(walkable) there is a general store and a small restaurant. Both came in handy/ was enjoyable during our stay. Fresh beach towels are available each day and loungers are available to rent. We plan on staying longer next year.

Nice place. We've been coming here on Spring Break annually for about ten years, ever since my brother recommended it to us. Right on the beach. Good food, so you don't have to leave the premises. We love having lunch on the deck, where you can easily see the ocean. If you prefer 4-star food, there are lots of good options in easy driving distance. Except for a short time at high tide, the beach is quite wide, so there is plenty of room for activities or just to chill on the beach. Umbrellas and chairs available for rent (in season). I like to walk on the beach several times a day, and also rent a bike to ride on the beach. Indoor & outdoor pools. Hot tubs (inside and outside) are also nice.

Everything about this hotel is good. But nothing is really exceptional. It is definitely a convenient place to stay with a family, with the large number of amenities (indoor and outdoor pools, easy beach access, on-site dining, etc). Staff helpfulness is a bit hit or miss. Food in the restaurants is fairly good, albeit at typical hotel dining prices (high). I would consider staying here again with my family, but I'd definitely look at other options too.

Beautiful secluded resort. If you want a relaxing getaway without moving around much, this place has everything you need. There's nothing in walking distance from the resort but it has good restaurants and bars with a beautiful pool and beach area.

Everything was great!!! I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be going back. If you can get an ocean view room, you can't go wrong. An early morning walk on the beach is peaceful and calming.

Amazing looking hotel with a friendly staff. The rooms are set up very nicely and include a lot of goodies! There is a restaurant and bar in the lobby which has great food. The hotel is located right on the beach so if you get a room in the back, you'll have a great view.
