Impeccably styled room. Breakfast was excellent as was the wine hour. A few small hiccups- I had to hunt down my own dry cleaning instead of it being sent back to my room and I wasn't given a breakfast request for my second night in the room. Overall a wonderful experience in Charleston. Highly recommend.

Great location, beautiful hotel. Room is spacious and well updated. My only complaint is with the included breakfast basket. With how nice the hotel is, really disappointing to see them doing something so poorly. So many great coffee shops around, not worth wasting a meal. Grocery store style croissant, English muffin with no toaster, hard boiled egg that tasted extremely off. My only complaint though!

I am typically very loyal to the Hyatt brand of hotels, however, my wife and I decided to stay somewhere different while we were exploring the Charleston area for a potential long distance relocation. To summarize this review, don't stay here.

Our stay started getting slammed with an astronomical valet charge. We have no choice, so we accept the charge and go to check in. The check-in area was small, but nicely decorated. There are only 2 desks, and there was a single person working. We were the only guests. We stood there for what seemed like 5 minutes without being addressed. We checked in and were handed a key card and made our way to the elevator without instructions from the single staffer. We got lost and finally figured out the elevator location. You need to swipe your card to use the elevator - a real annoyance when you're lugging your own baggage without a bellhop being offered to you. So far, it wasn't terrible - maybe the check-in guy was having a bad day.

We open the door to our room; it looked like a studio apartment of sorts. My wife had an interview for a job in the area, so we wanted to immediately take a nap. We pulled down the sheets after removing what felt like 10 or so fuzzy pillows (how do you clean those?) to be met with red stains on the comforter. I called down to request house keeping for a new set of bedding. As I looked closer I noticed several pubic hairs on the comforter - gross! Meanwhile, my wife went to brush her teeth and the sink was covered in beard trimmings. At this point we were fairly certain the room had been used but not cleaned.

After about 10 minutes I called down again and asked for the manager to come up to the room. He didn't show either. I called again after 20 minutes and the told me the manager was off site and he would be back in a few minutes. About 25 minutes in, I got a call back from the manager who said he wasn't coming upstairs for no reason. At this point I was furious and demanded he come upstairs to see the disgusting room conditions and help remedy the situation. He came up and was extremely rude. We demanded our money back and checked out immediately. Our stay was one of a hour or so - and it was an hour too much. Don't listen to the other reviews and do not stay here if you want clean accommodations.

We might would have enjoyed our stay at the restoration had we gotten that far. They decided to wait until after we had driven 3 hours to tell us that they overbooked the hotel and we would not be staying with them that night. A courtesy call in advance would have been appreciated. They were also rude at the front desk about it. They did put us up in another hotel which was further away from where we wanted to stay, and the lady at the front desk told us that the restoration does that all the time. So buyer beware if you book at the restoration there's a good chance they'll overbook you and you won't get to stay there.

One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in: the rooms are big, comfortable and have amenities like big kitchen, washer and dryer, and separate living room making them more akin to luxury apartments than hotel rooms. There's a free happy hour in the library between five and six that offers decent wine
and crackers. The worst and most incomprehensible part of this hotel is the absurdly small breakfast served in a basket to your room; make sure to double or even triple your order.

Fantastic boutique hotel! Very cute architecture and comfortable rooms. We stayed in a suite as it was on sale and we were not disappointed at all. Hotel staff extremely friendly and courteous.

Perfect location, right off King Street with access to all the shops. The rooms were beautiful and exquisitely decorated while being very well stocked. The amenities were nice and an unexpected convenience. Breakfast delivered to your room was awesome and we enjoyed the views from the restaurant as well as the food! 5 star hotel by far.

Very friendly and accommodating service. Spa staff were great. Had a massage from Sandy and it was very enjoyable. Rooms were well appointed and the feel of the rooms was contemporary, Southern, comfort. We were there with a group of girlfriends and wrought definitely return. The location cannot be beat!

This was easily one of the best hotels I've stayed at, for several reasons. The rooms are all very well taken care of and well decorated, and the rooms I saw all had a good view of the area. All the staff were very polite and knowledgeable about Charleston. I would stay back here in a heart beat

I (KaseyKing, WeddingOfficiant) perform weddings throughout Charleston, SC and performed a wedding on the rooftop of one of their suites (322) recently. It was absolutely stunning. It was a very beautiful, intimate setting for the happy newlyweds, and close friends and family. The staff is outstanding too! Very helpful. Thanks!

Staying at the Restoration Hotel in Charleston was a magnificent experience. What a beautiful property in a fantastic location so close to restaurants, shopping, art galleries and all that makes Charleston a favorite destination. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful Kevin, our host, made us feel very welcome, as did all the staff. Our apartment was gorgeous. I loved the outdoor patio overlooking town. Beds were comfortable, and the living room and kitchen space felt like home. I would highly recommend the Restoration to anyone who wants pure luxury and an outstanding experience.

My husband and I stayed the weekend for our anniversary and enjoyed it so much! Our room was ready on-time, very clean and comfortable. We loved receiving our breakfast basket at our door each morning. The staff was helpful and kind, always greeting us as we came and went. Upon checkout, the scheduled shuttled we booked ourselves never arrived, when I asked the receptionist if she could help, she jumped on the phone and contacted a driver that was there within minutes to take us to the airport. We will certainly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone that finds themselves in Charleston.

The service is impeccable. The view is excellent as was the cocktail. The food is good. If I were to return, I'd come for drinks. The chicken dish was a bit dry and the ratatouille was a good vegetable dish, but I wouldn't call it ratatouille.

Great central location in historic Charleston. Recently restored/remodeled. Even studio rooms are very commodious with kitchenette. Complimentary breakfast delivered to door. Rooftop food and drinks. Rooftop pool. Very large three bedroom, three story suite with huge living room and private rooftop patio. Highly recommended.
