Excellent stay. Exquisite room and cleanliness. Very friendly staff. Absolutely love the digital check-in and using my phone as a room key. Would a definitely recommend when in the area overnight. Also very affordable Friday night rate.

Roxy gave exceptional customer service from the telephone call to check-in. She even text me to make sure everything in the hotel room was superb!
It was. I am a loyal customer. Love the Hilton brand.

The hotel staff were friendly and creative for Halloween. The restaurant had 3 servers chatting away at breakfast not paying attention to me out other guests. The only thing they did for me was being me the cheque since I had the buffet. Sorry dishes were left between belongs, and when I struggled with the bagel cutter, they did not help.

The conference rooms were very nice. Parking was not bad but the lot isn't too big.

Clean comfortable and near shops and stores in downtown area. Plenty of parking. Friendly wait staff and and all you can eat breakfast for about $11.00. Highly recommended. Gym in hotel as well as across the street. Planet fitness is in the shopping plaza across the street. Nice area.

When I felt it was time to evacuate from the coast due to Hurricane, a friend found one of the few remaining open hotel rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Charlotte/Ayrsley. I had two older friends with me. One was in a wheelchair. The hotel staff was very kind and accommodating, set up my friends in a handicap accessible room. Although the hotel appears to be more business and student oriented, for our needs it worked very very well.

First let me say, in general, the hotel is clean and staff are pleasant (just uninformed). Facility and amenities are old but mostly functional. If that's all you're looking for, maybe you'll have a fine stay.

The staff don't seem to know how anything in the hotel works. That might be okay if things just worked. On this stay, my first room had a parental lock set on the TV (apparently by a previous guest), which prevented tuning to basic "movie" channels like HBO. When I asked, the front desk said they didn't know what to do about that and could I just wait until tomorrow. Instead, I opted to switch rooms.

While waiting at the front desk for this room swap, another guest was there asking about an arranged shuttle. Front desk staff had no idea how to check on this arrangement and asked the guest to call back in the morning before the shuttle to confirm.

This hotel has had working wired Ethernet in the past (my last stay). This time, I found new network equipment in the room with ports labeled LAN1-4, but all those ports as well as the original wall port (that worked last time) were dead. I called the front desk to inquire and she clearly had never heard the words I was using. I was forced to use the pitiful wireless for a video call, which basically didn't work. This may not be a big deal to some, but I actually chose this hotel for this stay over the Embassy Suites across the street because the ES only offers Wifi while the HGI had wired connections.

Please staff the hotel with people who have some idea of how the tech and systems in the hotel work.

    Won't stay again.

We loved this hotel, the location and the staff. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfy. There were plenty of outlets, a big closet and a huge TV. The air conditioning went all the way down to 60° which is a MUST for my husband and I to be able to sleep comfortably. Very quiet, you'd never know you're right off a busy street and very near an interstate. We had trouble getting the jets in the hot tub to work, but it wasn't a huge deal to us. I was lucky enough to get one of tge delicious cookies in the lobby once during our stay - they go quick! The parking lot was kind of a pain, but I'm sure all of that will clear up once the construction project is complete.

Joe, the "leader of the lobby" was completely rude and disrespectful. He didn't have any respect for himself or the people around him. He was very intruding and made my friends and I (all women, some younger than others) feel extremely uncomfortable. After kicking us out with no warning, he proceeded to threaten us by calling the police. The hotel could have been really nice and still would have been nice minus him.

I have travel many places in my life but seldom have I received such for poor hospitality from the general manager. I had to cancel morning of my arrival and not only did they charge me but they refused to accommodate future stay. When I spoke to the manager several weeks later upon another visit she made it perfectly clear that she was not interested in our company's business. My suggestion is find another property that is more accommodating.

The location was great! Close to restaurants, market, and a movie theater. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. And one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had!

Was here to celebrate my sisters birthday March 11-12, 2017. The location is great, it is surrounded by many places to include movie theater, food places, etc. The only bad experience here was that we went to get in the hot tub and it was not working properly and the staff did not have the knowledge of how to get it to work. It has a nice size gym which is attached to the pool, so I got a little workout in waiting for them to try to fix the hot tub which was cool. Also, they have some great cookies and fruit water in the lobby. I would recommend this hotel to others and warn them of the possibility of not being able to fully get your money's worth because of the hot tub not working, hopefully it gets fixed.
