Bad impression since the first day, my friend dropped us off at the hotel. Valet guys were very rude. As soon as we arrived, we tried to unload our bags. Instead of offering help, they kept asking if we have a valet and if not we can't park just for unloading. I told the first guy that we needed to get the bags and check in. He didn't seem getting it, then second guy and then the third guy. No communication whatsoever.
Two nice things about this place were friendly front desk service and the house keeping service.
Hotel itself was about good to average. Low review due to snooty staff. I asked for toothpaste and the lady rolled her eyes and the man at the desk told me he would send it up. His tone did not make me feel very confidnet that would actually happen. And it didn't! Never heard from anyone. Also, $5 for a cup of regular coffee? Do me a favor! At least make a latte for that price.
I know all hotels in downtown Boston are expensive. This one is also expensive. But it also had tiny rooms. The king size bed took up the majority of the room. There was only room for one bedside table. We had to stack our two pieces of luggage so we had room to walk. Staff was blah. Valet was friendly but pretty dumb. It also took 25 minutes the two times we needed our car.
I booked through Expedia. For the price of the room, its a pretty good deal. Unfortunately you have to park in a garage but the hotel is in a great spot and walked to dinner. The hotel is also close enough to walk to the aquarium. Overall, great for the price.
We had a great visit. We were moving our son in at BU, so we were there about 4 days over Labor Day weekend. We had multiple special requests and the bell captain, valets, maids, etc., were always superb. I can't say enough about how much easier that they made our hectic lives. They disposed of numerous cardboard boxes/trash for us, they made sure the car was kept easily available when needed, etc. Basically, whatever we needed was taken care of. Of course, the room, dining, and everything else was top-notch. We checked in in by phone, so we never dealt with the front desk, except to change money but they were great, too. We highly recommend Hilton.
Greeted by the nicest parking assistant. Check in was easy. Room was very spacious and clean. Bathroom slightly outdated and not stocked well with towels. Concierge took too long with baggage assistance. Overall pleased but heavy on the wallet
The staff here are fantastic - without a doubt the best part of my stay. Location of the hotel is very good, minutes from the harbour front and Faneuil hall.
Unfortunately the rest of the hotel is very average for a Hilton. Rooms are dated, the shower wasn't great and the curtains looked like they have never been cleaned.
They don't even have a room for people to shower or change in once checked out. I would have thought this is basic for a Hilton? I had to change in the hotel bathroom in the lobby, which clearly aren't cleaned very often.
Personally I wouldn't stay again, mainly because as a business traveller, location is less important than a nice room to call home away from home. However if as a tourist you just need a place to sleep then this would be fine.
Old building well done, had a nice historic feeling while still providing modern amenities. The room I was in had kind of an old American patriotic design with a nice soft bed and large clean bathroom. The lobby is a small narrow hallway that just bisects the hotel and exits out to each street on both sides of the hotel. Neighborhood is fine and a close walk to most of Boston.
Beautiful hotel, great location. Lots of nice amenities. Staff is friendly. Make sure to get your Hilton Honors rewards account to get free wifi.
I'm giving this two stars because I don't think it quite deserves a one star rating this hotel is trash. The walls, drappery, and lamps are dirty and worn down. Our hotel room was a box. It does NOT look like as advertised. We came here for a nice weekend, and are very displeased to have to stay here through it. We paid a non refundable rate - We would have walked out after seeing the room, otherwise. Avoid this place if possible. MUCH Better hotels nearby with a comparable rate (of less). Dirty and old. We asked to be moved to the room that was advertised to us, but were told the hotel was sold out. Unfortunately, this was true (after checking booking sites). The desk staff was nice, and it was clear they couldn't do anything.
Always fun and exciting. Mixed crowd this night. Good service. Good atmosphere. Super clean and friendly door service.
Worst Hilton hotel I ever stayed. Booked 3 nights for the memorial holiday and we couldn't get any good sleep. Our room, 533, was right next to the elevator and we can hear all 5th floor tenants in and out. The bathroom was flooding after shower. The room is small even it's the KING SUPERIOR. The location is very good but there're few pubs, night club around and the street is pretty dark at night.
Our out of town guests stayed. They were very happy. They had an ac issue & right away was put in a new rm. Staff was very nice to them. The outside staff was very efficient. Came up to the car right away to park it. I would send out of town guest there again.
