  I love getting a few candles whenever we visit Blowing Rock. The store smells soooo lovely and I think it's cool that you can watch them making candles there in the store. I love that whenever I go, there's a sale. And their candles last a really long time!

  Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The owner made us a candle with a special color color combination and customized the design in honor of our late son.
  Oldies music playing throughout the store, candles made on sight. Great place!!!!

  Every time I come up to Boone I grab one (sometimes two) of these awesome candles. They have long lasting hot throws that have never disappointing me and the service is exceptional

  Beautifully sculpted candles as well as a large selection of highly scented candles. These make wonderful & unique presents though I did buy for myself as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All candles made in house & they ship. Great memento of my recent trip to Blowing Rock

  My family, friends and I have been shopping at this unique candle store since I was a student at AppState years ago. Candles are made in front of you and employees are all very personable. As a previous comment mentioned, scents are mild and not over-powering, which is a relief. High Country Candles is my favorite place to shop on the strip!

  Candle maker was very personable and very talented. He makes the candles right in front of you while you watch. He even shows you how they look lit and will make request for you. Whole family had a good time
