Great place to watch Ohio State football but the service lacked a bit. The food was good.

My wife and I have gone to Hickory Tavern in Biltmore Park numerous times and everytime we have had great service and great food. Today, Oct 19th we went for lunch just before heading to Mission hospital to have our first baby. Once again the meal and service was perfect. Many of the waitresses asked about how far along my wife was. They were all excited when we told them today is the due date. To our surprise and with the utmost gratitude they didn't charge us for our meal and wished us the best on our new one coming into the world. This doesn't happen much in today's world. It brought a tear to my eye and definitely customers for life. Thank you Hickory Tavern in Asheville, the Azza Family!

It's in a great location and the atmosphere is very family-friendly, but my meal was unappetizing. I ordered the shrimp entree which had not been deveined and were very overcooked, making them rubbery, dry, and gritty. Seeing the veins in each shrimp was gross and made it feel like the chefs didn't know what they were doing and/or didn't care.

The food was tasty, but poorly behaved children (of some patrons as well as passersby) ruined the entire dining experience. Had I not been with a group of family and friends I would have left following the second squeal from these ill behaved kids. Parents.either keep your children under control when dining in public or don't bring them to ruin everyone else's meal!

This is a great place to catch a quick bite, great food and friendly service. They have a huge beer selection and an expansive menu. Get there early, it can get packed with a wait.

After we were seated, nobody was assigned to serve on us. After fifteen or more minutes of waiting, I went up to the front to ask for a waiter/waitress. We then got someone quickly - she wasn't too pleasant but she was efficient. Food took a while to arrive. But the food was pretty good.

Terrible service. Started out poorly when we asked the hostess to seat us farther away from the door, and she put us ONE table over when the place was almost empty. When all of our party of four arrived, (in plenty of time to make our appointment time right down the street) we waited to get our order placed, the waitress didnt even bring our last guest her drink (we had to ask twice), but we still had time to get food and eat and make our appointment. However, that never happened. We finally asked for to go boxes and we actually got them before we got our food. Don't know whether the food was good as we didn't get to eat. Had to take it with us! The waitress said she'd send the manager over to apologize. He came, but NEVER uttered anything near an apology. Rude. Slow. I will NOT be returning!

I had a overall great experience at this sports pub. The manager on duty was.doing an amazing job all night long as were the bartender and host staff. My significant other and our friend came here new years day to celebrate. We ended up ordering the soup of the day and some drinks with out server we chatted and carried on for a hour and a half with still no word from our server of what has happened with our soup. We all work in good service ourselves and didn't want to be "those people" but we eventually flagged down the manager who showed distaste for our service and let us knew our food would be compels for the evening. I wrote this way long too long review to say every establishment has bad employees at times or maybe just bad night either way I have a lot of respect for a place that recognizes the shortcomings with their patrons and do whatever they can to overcome and be better. I will definitely be returning and thanks again for the great night out!!

Awesome sports bar with a gigantic screen on one side of the bar and too many TVs to count throughout. Outside heated patio dining that's great for enjoying fall and springtime weather. And if you like oysters go on a Thursday for the special! They do get busy, and occasionally there's a wait, only reason they got four stars from me, still well worth the wait.
