Hello there, allow me to tell you a story.
Since our first date I knew Shannon was the one I wanted to share my entire world with. I also knew when and where I would pop the question, on the next trip to Disney World and in front of Cinderella's Castle. I'd get in trouble if I did it anywhere else.
But what I didn't know was where to find THE ring. You know the one she's been dreaming of her entire life. We started looking at engagement rings one weekend, just for fun I told her. Couldn't give away the surprise.
We looked at some very beautiful rings at various locations, however there was something different, something special about the little, family owned shop on the corner of Washington and Dubuque in downtown Iowa City. I'm talking of course of Herteen and Stocker.
A wonderful showroom, knowledgeable staff and the friendliest customer service is what you will experience I promise. The thing that stood out to me though and made me feel really comfortable was how excited Kate was and how geeky she was about diamonds. I learned so much and after spending a few visits just talking to her and her family, I felt like we had been long time neighbors.
It was such a magical experience. One Shannon and I will never forget. Every time we visit Iowa City, stopping in to say hi to those who made this memorable will always be at the top of the to-do list. Thanks again. Can't wait to pick out the wedding bands!

My fiancé and I have had such a wonderful experience with Herteen & Stocker.
Two years ago we decided to plan for an engagement. I am sentimental, so the pressure was on to find the the perfect rings to wear forever. With so many choices and factors to consider, we needed some education and guidance. We were excited, but our interaction with the first jeweler felt insincere. The experience seemed very sales-driven instead of the client-centered approach I was expecting.
Our experiences with Herteen & Stocker have been extraordinary! My fiancé and I worked with Kate to find the perfect engagement ring and wedding bands. She took the time to listen, answer our questions, and engage in thoughtful discussions to incorporate our personal lifestyle factors, interests, and budget into the selection process. This was not my first experience with Herteen & Stocker and will not be my last. I have purchased a wedding band, necklaces and a bracelet here and look forward to coming back.
They have something for every budget. I want everything in the store! From the creative window designs outside and the large assortment of jewelry inside, this is the store for me. Very knowledgeable staff and courteous service. They make you feel and look good!response / report this review -

Going to Herteen & Stocker was an excellent experience. Kate was wondering to work with. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and sincerely cared about helping me find the perfect engagement ring - unlike other places I visited, who only seemed to be pushing for a sale. I had a specific idea in mind, and the Herteen & Stocker team delivered down to the finest detail (and all within the price range I had established). Will be going back in the future to shop for those anniversary gifts!

Excellent experience from start to finish - helped my now-husband pick out a beautiful engagement ring for me that was perfect down to the last detail! Also helped with designing a custom wedding band that fits my ring like a glove, and my husband's band with custom engraving turned out great as well. Friendly service, great prices - will purchase from them again!

Herteen & Stocker is my go-to for gifts for friends, family and, of course, myself! The lines of jewelry are high-quality and unlike most anything you can get in the Iowa City area. And the customer service is amazing! Even if you don't have time to stop in to shop, they work with you to pick the perfect gift and then wrap it for you to pick up! I honestly wouldn't dream of shopping anywhere else! Love this place and the special people who make Herteen & Stocker so amazing!

Herteen and Stocker is a Iowa City staple. The family owned and operated crown jewel is the best place to give a little sparkle to a friend or yourself! Kate is hands down the best I've ever encountered at providing top notch service from start to finish. Whether you stop in grab a piece of candy, look at the window displays or browse the newest trends, just stop by Herteen and Stocker. You won't regret it. There's something for everyone at any budget.
