Expert care from Dr. Azzoni! I awakened to the cheerful face and tender care of Nurse Alicia Casey; a wonderful experience all around!
Dirtiest and worst hospital I have ever been to. Wouldn't recommend anyone or anything. There was a used syringe and sorry bloody bandage in the corner on my room.
I went to heywood the twice in two days for side pain the didnt nothing for me i hate them they nurses are rude what if there was something wrong with me they should. Have keep me now they think i gall stones
I'm surprised by the dichotomy of the reviews for this hospital, from 1 star to 5 stars. Are you all talking about the same hospital? I understand that people will have differing experiences and expectations when entering a medical facility, but reviews should be based on personal experiences, while taking into consideration what would be normal and accepted treatment at a similar facility, not based on hearsay or some personal vendetta. Some of the 1 star reviews just sound like bitter rants from people with some type of agenda. Some people will have bad experiences or substandard treatment or maybe personality conflicts with certain providers, but, you could have those experiences at almost any medical facility. On the whole, this is a great community hospital with a dedicated staff that is working to better the health of the local community.
My daughter was brought in by ambulance at the end of July and was treated great! Amazing staff, very helpful and knowledgeable. We would definitely use again and recommended to anyone.
Honestly the worse hospital I have ever gone to. They take their time doing anything and everything. They're very rude and nasty to the patients there. And they violate HIPAA all the time. I shouldn't know why each patient in there. Unless you want to spend 3 hours waiting just to see a doctor, go somewhere else. You will spend well over 3 hours there for something simple.
The emergency room staff need some sort of retraining when it comes to dealing with people. I went in because I was in extreme pain, and it was too late to go to a dentist, and I was treated like some sort of junkie, and the doctor kept telling me there was nothing she could do because she's not a dentist. If you're going to be a doctor you should 1) care about your patient and 2) not be telling your patients over and over again how incompetent you are. She talked down to me, and made me feel like I was dirt and I filed a complaint immediately with the hospital. I was reassured several times that something would be done about it, but we'll see I guess.
Unfortunately this hospital does not employ the cream of the crop. They diagnosed my major heart attack as food poisoning and I can still see the ER check in nurse slapping my hand out of my mouth. I will locate her and post her name online. Her ugly face should be on a wall of shame somewhere. Symptoms were severe aching shoulder and nausea.Classic heart attack symptoms in women and this idiot didn't have the smarts to order an EKG. Neither did Moe and Curly, the doctor and nurse that treated me. I believed them and went back 2 days later with the severe pain once again. Thought I ate another "bad" thing. That was when I was rushed to Umass and needed 2 stents ASAP.
They prescribed penicillin, which my husband is allergic too, for a urine infection. He had to be insane to go there, but I guess one would think a catheter is pretty basic and can't be messed up. Surprise. Please avoid this hospital at all cost. Unless you are on your death bed, go to Umass.
Horrifying stories about births here. Would not recommend if you are not into the hospital doing whatever it wants to you and your new baby and taking massive action against you if you don't comply.
I worked here for a while and it was okay but not great. The wound care center has some of the most rudest, nastiest, most miserable group of female employees I have never had the disgrace to meet. Some of the nurses here are absolutely horrid and should be fired. And don't get me started on the managers. Carol Roosa should be more professional than she is and set a better example. The CEO should pay better attention instead of attending corny ceremonies.
Heart doctor calls me at 1:40- tells me potassium is critically low. To go straight to ER! ER doc says I will be admitted! Mind you I checked in right before 2pm. Well midnight rolls around still no bed! Still in ER! I asked if I could be shipped to another hospital oh no we are still waiting! Don't get me wrong the nursing staff has been wonderful. I use to speak highly of heywood but I am rethinking that one!!!!!
