I love the Carolina motel in Franklin. It's a great old-fashioned roadside motel. Motorcycle friendly with parking in front of each room. Rates are reasonable. Immaculate rooms and grounds.

Perfect example of a retro mid-century Motor Hotel, but with with modernized, updated appliances and amenities - It took me an hour and a half to find it on- line, but I knew a hidden gem was there somewhere and I'm so glad I put in the time to find it. Our stay was perfect in every way! We found it affordable (we were able to stay 2 nights for less than what one night in an ordinary chain hotel in the area would have cost), neat as a pin, and were surprised by the unexpected amenities (such as a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs and a very nice playground and pool area), and knowledgeable employees willing to take time to make recommendations for visiting the surrounding area. Overall, a perfect stay and we can't wait to return!

Very nice budget motel with friendly staff. The room was basic but immaculate. The beds were comfortable and free WiFi was a plus. I definitely recommend this motel.

This hotel made my vacation even better! Great service, clean rooms and the attendants are very nice! I will definitely stay here next time I vacation in North Carolina! Thank you Carolina Motel!

The Carolina Motel is a fantastic place to stay if you’re in the area. The staff and owner are so personable and caring. I greatly appreciated the clean room, breakfast of the morning, the quietness ofthe area, it is really and superb place to go. Will definitely be back as soon as possible.

Excellent stay at this neat-as-pin throw-back motor court. Clean beyond belief! Don't hesitate! (very close to Smoky Mt. Center for Performing Arts)

CLEANEST ROOM EVER! Very comfortable bed and the staff was friendly and attentive. We travel a lot and I would recommend Carolina Motel to all travelers.

This is an older motel that had a very good remodeling job done to it. I was pleasantly surprised with the accomodations. They are even having a campfire out front tonight. For a 2 star rated hotel - I highly recommend this place.

One of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, great price. Simple but filling breakfast. Would highly recommend!

I stayed here the last week of April 2017. The staff was terrific. The room was very clean. The location in relation to other things to do in the area is good. I would recommend to anyone & I would stay there again.

I really like this hotel, been there twice. Clean and friendly. Close to Sheffield Mines, where I go mining. Good continental breakfast with yogurt and fruit.

The motel is nice and in a lovely area. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. It's an older motel, so the decor is a bit dated as you would expect. My only real complaint was that the mattresses were too firm for me, and it aggravated my lower back pain. I liked that it had two pokestops on the premises.
